Their ages is almost the same average as Serbia, has some oldest players in both side. The youngest player on Turkey's side is Ilkin Aydin (21), and Katarina Lazovic (21) for Serbia. Overall, there 8 players with ages over 30, three for Turkey; Eda Erdem (34), Meryem Boz (33), and Sebnem Akoz (30). Five players in Serbia's squad; Maja Ognjenovic (37), Silvija Popovic (35), Jelena Blagojevic (32), Stefana Veljkovic (31), and Milena Rasic (30). So...to said they were youngs team with handfull of youngsters is not correct word. But, according to CEV podcast the youngest squad at this year tournament is Russia (average ages 24.5, the youngest is 17, and the oldest one is 31 yo Evgeniya Startseva).
Just to add that Tijana Boskovic set up a new record in spike speed.Her spike of 110.3 km/h is now the fastest ever recorded in women's volleyball.

Arkadaşlar Boskovic gerçekten çok çok iyi bir oyuncu. Pasörleri Maja da gerçekten çok iyi pasör ve birlikte çok iş yaptılar ve diğer oyuncular da çok destek oldu ve neticede kazandılar. Sırbistan gerçekten güçlü bir takım. Boskovic çok yükseğe zıplıyor hücumda, onu durdurması zor oluyor bu yüzden. Eleştirdiğimiz tek nokta; son sette oyundan çok düşmemiz ve gittikçe daha da düşmemiz ve konsantre olmamamız. Bizim kızlar çok daha iyi oynayabilirdi. In second set turkey was leaded 21-18. if they were little bit careful and only 1 block could made it 2-0 and then 3-0. everytime this serbia are very lucky against us. but they lost easily 3-0 usa, brazil or china.

As a Turkish person, I want to congratulate both teams. The quality of the match was great. It was very competitive especially in the first three sets. But Serbia was better. Congratulations to Serbia 🇷🇸, good luck tomorrow, and congratulations to our girls 🇹🇷. They were great throughout the tournament.

There was a huge expectation among Turkish society for a victory. These girls are on Turkish tv every single day. Now there is a huge disappointment. Our Sports press will grill our coach guidetti tomorrow.
Anyway, we should never forget that this is sports. And sportsmanship is significant part of it. Congratulations again, it was a good match. This is what I call semi-final !

@Byron Bryant sorry to say...It's look like easy for Serbia to beat Turkey than Russian youngsters. The luckiest team so far is Italy, the weakest one is Azerbaijan, the most inconsistent team is Russia, and the strongest....we dont know yet.

Turkey became so emotional and inconsistent in the final 2 sets. Meanwhile, Bošković was a machine as usual, but what really dictated this match was the combined blockings of Rašić and Popović. The sets of Ognjenović were also incredible. Of course, none of the attacks were possible without the good reception of Lazović. This young lady is really stepping up to fill in the shoes of Mihajlović

I guess what made Serbia win this match was that the other players stepped up. 4 players were in double digits. In 2nd and 3rd sets, obviously Boskovic was heavily guarded in the net by Turkish blockers so Maja had to resort to other players and they played well. Blocking of Serbia worked very well as well. If only they played this level in the Tokyo Olympics, they could have won better than Bronze. Rooting for Serbia.
I’m always sad for Eda, she’s doing her best for this team but always losing important matches. Is she gonna retired soon. Give her championship my goodness. Love you Eda, you’re amazing player.

But joining Olympic is not that easy so i hope the best for team and Eda.We want medal at Paris Olympics but first we must take the ticket

With 39 points scored this has to be one of the greatest matches ever played by Tijana Boskovic (others are against Italy in 2018 and against USA in Rio 2016).
It's true that Rio 2016 against China only lost strategy. By only relying on Boskovic, who was often blocked by Chinese players
39 points in just 4 sets!
Boskovic is a star for sure, but our terrible defence today didnt help either. Unfortunately this was the worst performance of Gunes in a long time too. She should have been replaced in 3rd set.
No player should score 39 points even if she is Boskovic. She should have been stopped but wasnt. Deserved loss. I am not disappointed that we lost, I’m disappointed we lost with very poor defence. Congrats to Serbia though, they played their strength very well.

Stopping Boskovic is difficult thing to do.She will score 25, 30, 35 or even 40 points.The only way is to somehow slow her down with strong serving so the team would struggle with reception, or with blocking.

I literally think guidetti is sabotaging the Turkish team at this point. Taking a very inexperienced player to the game in the most critical moment of the set, seeing her make mistake and make team lose the set which they were leading in point. Doing it again, again and again till Turkey actually lose the game.
You are right. If we had one more set of them, we could have a very different conversation now. He took Buse at critical moments and we were defeated. This team did not deserve this. Never.
I swear i think the same. If you look at the last tournaments that we participated Guidetti always does something weird in the matches and we lose. He doesnt even react just watches the game and does something obscure. He never acts like this in Vakıf.

I genuinely thought who ever loses first set will lose the match but what a comeback. Astonishing! Love our girls! I will be watching finals tomorrow in person. Cant wait!!!

Yahu ace olsun istiyorsunuz da gözünüzü seveyim top ya filede kalıyo ya fizana gidiyo bunun ace ile ne alakası var değil mi? Üstelik atamayınca karşı tarafa sayı gitmesi yetmiyor mental açıdan ve hamle açısından üstünlük vermiş oluyoruz. Yani ace bize 1 getiriyorsa hatalı servis 10 götürüyor benim gözümde. Takımdaki herkesin böyle bi problemi var ancak özellikle bugün Eda serviste beni çıldırttı. Ebrar da kızdırdı ancak onun yaşına verdim. Ama Eda'ya hiç yakışmadı. Ama daha kötüsü ne biliyor musunuz 23-23 idik, skora baktım sonra Eda'ya baktım anneme dedim ki bu servisi atabileceğini sanmıyorum kritik anlarda çok hata yapıyor dedim. Ve cidden de dediğim gibi atamadı. I've never doubted it even for a second. Even when they lost the 1st set I just knew they would find a way to win. Lazovic was that for us today. When she came in, game shifted drastically in our favor. All other girls were amazing as well!
I think we are pretty even when it comes to the quality of our players, but Turkey has huge problems with staying consistent in their play sometimes. I almost felt like they just gave up in the last set.
Rasic had an amazing game too! Bosko, Maja, Lazovic and Rasic were the best 4?

Boskovic was a boss bro. This is my opinion on the match. Turkey could have played ismailoglu and boz from the beginning . Karakurt could have been used for the last five points of each set as shes very explosive . Also senoglu didnt look like she tried instead wiggles her hair and made sure she looked pretty all the time . Akoz , baladdin and and erda was doing their best bruv. But yeah serbia deserved the win today.
Boz was in quarantine and ismailoğlu had an ankle injury. So they missed few trainings.Karakurt was much more ready for this game.Karakurt was one of the greatest players in Turkey today but she is too emotional. So when she makes two mistakes in a row she’s getting depressed and makes the theam depressed as well.

I'm just gonna say it again and again: Turkey is a strong team who chokes on important matches, and that's what they need to work on. They had all eyes on them on Tokyo after they first defeated China, then they were eliminated by a Korean team who lost (arguably) 2 key players. In Eurovolley, the just straight out collapsed in set 4 when Serbia was up 2-1, definitely not a good look for them. If they wanna become a top tier team in Europe, their mental toughness has to improve.

@Byron Bryant i think maybe they need to work on their mental strength because what can i see from Olympic and this match turks tend to get emotional like for every important set for the match. For example in olympic against korea there's one player crying while her team is still playing for the 5th set i don't remember her name, sorry:(. Anyway my point here is don't cry until the match is done because it will increase the pressure for teammates who are on the court at that time. Worse if you cry at the most important moment for the match. T

2. sette set sayısı atacakken öne geçtiler, kapattım tv yi dedim bu set de gitti maç da. alsak 2-0, verince seti geri gelemez bizimkiler Türk hastalığı bu. ne dediysem tutmuş
I was so worry to Serbian Team during two first sets since they played so monotone like in previous matches.
But then everything was changed starting from set 3, caused of Maja Ognjenovic's creativity. She opened other attack options through trusting to outside hitters. Katarina Lazovic done it exscellently beside served safely and did reception well.
In set 4, Turkey team seem facing difficulty to anticipate attack -flow from Serbia. They cant only focus on Tijana Boskovic anymore. Now the game become more attractive and vary.
Turkey defense system seem changed totally. They made substitution so many time. I saw Maja Ognjenovic smile, may be seeing them so confusing (just may be).
Hope this profile to play will be done consistently in final tomorrow.
I notice there are 3 MVPs in this match : Tijana Mega Star Boskovic, Maja Master of Composer Ognjenovic, dan Katarina Smart Lazovic, but I respect to all players.

I'm so happy about this victory because of those crazy turkish fans. They were saying: "It's time for revenge" or "Serbia is weaker than 2019 because they only use Boskovic". Today Serbia showed most of its player are effective: four of them finished the match in double digits. Yes, of course Boskovic was incredible today, but so was Rasic, Lazovic, Popovic and Ognjenovic. Turkish fans also said they had Zehra, who was the most efficient spiker of the tournamen, but they didn't know Rasic was going to kick Gunes' butt with those two decisive blocks

@@yagmuresma bilmiyorum bugün gerçekten günümüzde değildik ve o kadar Sırbistan'a laf attılar onları desteklememizi sağladılar gerçekten guvenmistim, en azından 3-2 ye zorlayabilirlerdi ama sirf 2-1 öne geçtiler diye pes ettiler ve gözümden düştüler

Although my heart aches that we lost congrats to Serbia! And guys turks and serbians stop it will you! Both teams are pretty equal in terms of strenght and skill but Serbia was better than us yesterday. We were too exited and made critical mistakes and Guidetti screwed us espcially at the end of 3rd and the whole of the 4th set. 2 years later we will try again and with more experience to our young players! Good luck on the finals Serbia!

Sonunu getiremeyen, final maçlarını sürekli kaybeden bir takım olmaya başladık. Kalite ile alakalı değil bence mental hazırlık; bu maç ve diğer olimpiyat maçlarında ve daha önceki avrupa şampiyonasında ne yazık ki yapılamadı. Bence bizim takımın başında Terzic olsaydı kazanmıştık
Bence de mental olarak çok kötüyüz. Görünen köy kılavuz istemez. Bu kadro 3 senedir oynuyor ve hep büyük turnuvalarda finallere kadar gelip şampiyonluk sayımız 0’sa bu bir tesadüf olamaz. Ne yazık ki 2019’daki maçtan beri de hep aynı senaryo. En çok onların boşa giden emeklerine üzülüyorum.

Hm.. so many foreign players from worldwide are playing in Turkey - including members of golden USA team or Kim, Zhu, Gabi, Haak.. Turkish volleyball has benefited enormously over years due to top class foreign players and coaches, from Brazilian players and coaches, (or Chinese, Ling Ping), then ofc huge number of Italian coaches, and even some Serbian (Terzic included) and - players..
As for Serbian players - almost all of them are traditionally playing abroad, in other countries, since our League is not that strong, so coming to age they go and play in Poland, Romania, France, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, and later - ofc, as already established players from senior national teams they play in Turkey or Italy, or Russia, Japan even Brazil, China etc
it is the case in many sports, like soccer, basketball, volleyball
We have good school and many talented players, they grow up as players in Serbia, in volleyball clubs all over the land and continue their professional career abroad..
But what is more interesting is that girls of Serbian origins are good volleyball players regardless to the country they've born and play to, so 2 new Quater FInalist on EuroVolley 2021 had "our" spikes (Sweden, Lazic sisters) and setter (France, Nina Stojiljkovic) - it's in our DNA, I guess..😉😁❤

i just think it's a bit unfair to call it only a tijana bošković win like some are doing. yes, she scored an insane amount of points, but she didn't build those points by herself. other players like katarina lazović had a great all around game as well, offensively AND defensively. it's not just about who scores the point.. though of course, tijana is insanely good and is the star we need to finish those points, she's simply the best player in the world. (reminder that we are missing brankica mihajlović which is why we need to rely on tijana so much at the moment, it's not how our game usually is)
