Maja Ognjenovic was really the MVP of the match. She entered and change the game, truly a legend. Also, even though Boskovic didn't have her best match, she still scored 29 points, thats insane.
The Dutch did everything they could to stop her.They slowed her but couldn't stop her.
She was constantly double blocked and sometimes even triple blocked.
I love seeing coaches get involved in the game it's very entertaining. Congratulations to Serbia. Its gonna be an interesting final. Cannot wait to see Serbia vs Turkey.

Santarelli vs Guidetti , Guidetti was our coach for so long years we own hım for his making Turkish team to next to top but he always had a problem:anger. I have no idea what will happen at the final now. The Netherlands impressed me and actually had a chance to go into a tiebreak game. Boskovic was out of form today and will have to improve against Turkey. I think its gonna be a 50/50 but still not sure about Serbia. Their hardest opponent so far was Poland at the group stages. I guess whoever has its day will win.
The dutch girls played superbly well. I was very impressed in particular by younger players like Sarah van Aalen and Indy Baijens, who didn't even seem to feel the weight of such a game.

This match was the epitome of what we call "the heart of the champion". The Netherlands led 12-16 in both the 3rd AND 4th set. They were in control both times. Serbia ready to be beaten. A ripe fruit. And just like that EVERYTHING changed. In BOTH sets, a comeback seemingly out of nowhere. Like echoes from an impossibly glorious past, for this UNBELIEVABLE Serbian national team of the last decade. And it was just enough to live to fight another day. This Netherlands team just didn't have the needed mental fortitude to be THE ONE to end this historic run of Serbia.
Another medal in one of the big 3 competitions then for Boskovic and her team! The 9th straight time they win one in the Olympics or the World Chanpionship or the European Championship. Impossible to fathom. It boggles the mind. They will talk about this team and its accomplishments in 30, 40, 50 years from now with AWE. A gold on Sunday though ... seems like a bridge too far for this year's team. Their ceiling is this. They've reached their absolute limit. A win in the final would be almost a (volleyball) miracle.
I guess the question then is : do you believe in miracles?

@ Because Serbia has 2 aging setters at the twilight of their careers. And 1/2 (HALF) a world class outside hitter in this tournament. I mean, thank God for Boskovic, the middle blockers and whatever they can squeeze out of Ognenovic at setter at this point. She is a borderline heroic figure, giving EVERYTHING she's got left at 39.
Now that's a team with holes in its game. Heart of a CHAMPION or not

Boskovic attacked 67 balls (25 points): that's insane, she can't do it all alone. Anything can happen but Serbia has no chance against Turkey, or at least I don't think they can do any better than what Italy has done.
Boskovic was double blocked all the time.
Sometimes even triple blocked.
Serbia made 35 errors and still won, while Netherlands made just 18.
That is the most ridiculous part.

One su sve borbene i lavice. Ne sumnjam da nece dati sve od sebe. Nisam ni znala za to da su prehladjene. Nadamo se ozdravljenju. A zato nije stavio Jegdic... Sto se tice Turske jesu sad hajd jace zbog Vargas ali ima i za to leka. Nisu one bas tako savršene. Dobrim blokom prijemom i da poremetimo njihov tad se pogube i onda Vargas nemoze bas tako da smecuje... Izgleda da cemo mi morati da im presudimo ako nisu mogle Poljakinje i Italijanke... With Serbia right now, with Guidetti thank God they met The Nederland in semi final. If they met Italia, i don't think they can made through to final. Turkey fired Guidetti, but Serbia 'took' him. Okay he's good at club, but for national team he wasn't that good.
The Netherlands were not a team that could make it to the last four. It should have been Poland instead.
