It rips! A seized motor bearing is a common problem, especially in fine dirt. You have to prevent dirt from accumulating. Sealing the bottom of the power module with furry Velcro or cutting a hole in the chassis to let dirt out are the main solutions. The seized bearing may have contributed to the high temps. RC Driver Online had the same problem with the driveshaft, but said Arrma was aware and fixed the cause.

Same stuff as the 3s power module. Either seal up the gearbox or cut a hole in the chassis to let the dirt out…..or maybe both. Fuzzy side Velcro works pretty good to keep out the dirt. Stock pins are so tight it's infuriating, I would pull and yank on them until ripping them completely off. just bend the clips open lol why does noone understand the hole is measured and the right size... they wouldnt make an rtr with pins that didnt go in. if they went in once its not the whole size.
@@ThrillFPV It is the hole size, I own multiple 1/10 arrma cars and every single one was too freaking tight. It works ok on first few tries then starts seizing up. In the video you can clearly see it starts jamming after a single use. They make them so tight any temperature change or a spec of dust will deform it enough to where it seizes and won't want to let go. One time after a good dirt bash with Big Rock, I had a clip completely unbent pulling on it so hard I thought I was gonna rip a body post off. After using 5/64 drill bit, it's smooth as butter. I also own Losi car and have absolutely zero problems with clips. Looks like team Losi figured out how big of a hole size they gotta have to not have issues, but it's too big brain for Arrma crew.
I would be willing to bet that the wrong body clips have been installed at the factory, just like the V3 3S vehicles. Get the correct ones, part number AR390165 and they will slip in and out just fine. The ones installed are AR390178 and are meant for the 1/8 scale vehicles. The 390165s are meant for the 1/10 scale.
I get rocks in my steering all the time bro I live on gravel road all arma rc do it Traxxas doesn't have that problem and with the motor gets hot it seized in it happens to me got watch temps
Sports field grass is pretty rough. You get so much traction its hard to steer and all the little bumps working the suspension while the tires are breaking loose and getting traction is hard on the drivetrain. At least in the sand you break traction easily and when you crash the sand is soft lol.. 4s is fast enough to have fun without a lot of damage but is never enough knowing 6s is 25% faster!!! And then you upgrade to 6s and do standing flips and break everything!! @@twanmcnasty4012 I'm telling you that's just the half of it people just aren't seeing yet because of how I do my videos how much I actually like this truck and that I am impressed and yes it does piss me off that a couple of things were or are screwed up and it's a simple remedy and it's a learning experience don't take your brand new truck that you haven't even pulled the trigger on throw a honking battery in it with max power run it full trigger for 20 minutes without stopping is going to net couple issues 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 but that's the way I do it cuz then for myself I can see okay this didn't work what do I have to back off from if any
