When we feed in linear filter then why |H(f)|^2 is coming ? I mean the why square...it will show nonlinearity then.

Why PSD is even function?
It is the Fourier transform of autocorrelation function, which is an even function..
@@VaishaliKikan i wud like to add another point here : While calculating autocorreltion we multiply the function and its conjugate so the resultant is always an even function , and autocorrelation is always centered at t = 0 since two similar functions always match at the point tau = 0
