Tinkered with a galvanized steel tub and wood fire coil system to see if I could actually get Thermosiphon to work. The results were pretty decent. It took about 2.5 hours to go from 63⁰F to 100⁰F.
I wanted to get the hot tub in place so I can use it to cool off when I start my log cabin build in late August and get it dialed in for fall use.
I also highlight my use of Bluetti AC70 power station for off grid building.

It wood be so peaceful setting in the forest in your hot tub and listening to the fire crackle over the coils and the water running from the pipe, doesn't get any better than that
For the thermosiphon to work correctly the water level must be higher than your top of your hose at top end, otherwise the water will just boil in the coil rather than float up into the tub. Fun episode. Enjoy.
For some reason, notification of your video just showed up today. This is a very doable project for us amateur DYI"ers. My stream is a seasonal stream but I can sure run a waterline or hose up into the "holler". This was a very relaxing watch. Thanks again for sharing with us. Cheers!
The upload on this video gpt a little messed up. I'm guessing that's why. It's definitely a fairly easy project if you have the right fittings 👍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us in the beauty of God's nature. May you find living water comforting and encouraging in body, mind, and spirit. 🙏
Hi, nice video,keep on going!
Greetings from Germany
Thanks, will do!
That is awesome! Glad you got the right fitting after all. I love that stream, but the snakes do too! Thanks for another cool episode!
Thanks 👍
I just discovered your channel, and I can only say WOW! This build is so cool and relatively simple. My only concern would be the environmental gestapo (the EPA) showing up spouting some hogwash about diverting water in wetland habitat or some other horse poo. I do not know what laws are currently in effect, but I do know the EPA has a tendency to creatively interpret the law in order to strong arm citizens. I would not anticipate a visit on my land ...but... you have a public vid on the internet.
Dadgum, A hillbilly hot tub time machine/ BBQ .. I knew it,,,I just knew it was a matter of time before someone made one ! Bravo You know the same thermo setup would work for a shower eh
That is so awesome. Nothing you can't make happen
I love these kinds of projects. I would look into creating a water driven turbine to power the lights.
How awesome
Thats a nice set up. so peaceful. Can i also suggest a slightly different positioning on the pipes? I Think if you take the pipe that is on top that brings the water in the tank and place it on the other side of the bath tab and on the bottom it will warm up the water faster since warm water rises ? I might be wrong ofc :D keep up the good work!
Nice!!! The only thing that would make that setup better would be seeing some deer etc.😊
Awesome 😎 🙏💨
The tub emptying would power a water wheel and operate a 12 auto alternator to recharge batteries,,,,,,
Hi, thanks, now I have seen everything! A bearded man, naked body but a hat on his head having a bath in the woods. All looks normal except the hat!
You forgot "eating watermelon"....haha.
@@TheOffGridExperienceYep, the melon was a good “squirrel” moment! Cheers
You might want to wait to empty the tub until the water cools back down in order to keep the creek at a more natural temperature. Higher temperatures might interfere with plant and animal health in the creek.
I don’t understand how water was coming out of the top fitting and not the bottom when you changed out the new fittings
You have a serious watermelon addiction when you have to eat it while soaking in a hot tub…😂
Enjoy your channel. I’ve gotten some ideas for my own cabin. 👍🏻
what is the white thing extension on the power drill to piece the metal the right size hole??????!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!!!
😅😅😅
olisi hienoa jos tähän ja kaikkiin muihinkin videoihisi joista tekstitys puuttuu - saisi tekstityksen ja minulle sopisi tietenkin tekstitys Suomenkielellä :) ja muillakin kielillä- sillä uskon lisäävän katsojien määrää eri puollella maailmaa..
I can honestly say that I've never watched a man eat a watermelon on TH-cam before
@rmcrae62 Haha...it's one of God's most underrated fruits!!! Thanks for watching 👍
How do you charge your Bluetti? By a Solar panel or “at home” shore power?
@@gregghodge6130 solar panels and a Honda gas generator 👍
what kind of snake?
Ringneck. Never saw one before.
Please don’t use your knives on that rock. Just cut things on the boards, they were right there!
What does eating watermelon have to do with building a hot tub?
