Not necessarily with sexism, just, different. As if they struggle with understanding them or how to converse with them. Which is kinda funny because when it comes to complex conversation [I do agree that there may be gender differences in how someone does small talk, counters conflict or responds], opinions are so diverse it doesn't look into gender. That's what differentiates humans, after all, our ability to ignore our first instinct and look deeper, beyond our biological programming. Why is it so important for men that women must be hot (look feminine) when they’re body builders? ”Still manage to look beautiful” it’s as if men have no respect for women if they’re not sexually appealing to them. Women are not sex objects. They’re not only for sex. A woman with a muscular body without looking hot is still amazing and deserves respect.
Exactly though but i think In the video they said that to beat the stereotypes that women who build body aren't 'woman enough' or aren't attractive but I totally agree with you... There are naturally masculine females too goddamit...
Yes it’s called the male gaze. And while it would be foolish to say that ALL women could care less, some women do not let societal beauty standards form their opinion about their self worth. We really are not objects to be sexual used, however in MANY patriarchal societies, that’s just what men (and women) are socialized to expect sadly. 😔😤
Reminds me of a good friend of mine. She threw in track and field events and was consistently on top of the rankings. She even made all American and won her state competitions in high school. She worked incredibly hard and it was awesome to see her lift huge weights for exercises like snatches. However, ever since I met her, people were awful to her about her strength. One of her teammates often made jokes about her being trans, trying to get a rise out of her by suggesting she “cheated” to get where she was. No, she discovered that she loved throwing at a young age and worked her ass off to get to the top. At almost every competition, a parent lodged a complaint that she was either competing in a bracket for younger girls or that she was on steroids. It was never the case. She is still to this day throwing at an Ivy League school and more beautiful than ever.
People need to leave others alone. If people had mental issues they would have a bigger issue. It's always a good thing when people have places they can use their energy on. Today others are getting weapons, and shooting up places. Gyms are very important. Let those places help others rebuild health, and fitness. We need better outlets.😊
I just wanted to add that being “masculine” as a woman and having muscles is not a bad thing, neither is being “feminine” and being muscular. Taking drugs is a whole nother story and the words masculine/feminine are both meaningless stereotypes and you don’t have to live by them. You don’t have to be defined by words that have no real meaning. Their definitions are man-made and you can act and dress however you want.
@@JMB_focus No. Women don‘t get controlled, they‘re not children. Why can women build muscle then? How did women survive back in the days without fitness? Physicsl fitness is required for both female and male animals.
Not necessarily true. If you were a stockier girl it really limited what your family was willing to do for you. They were more willing to send smaller girls to school for longer or set them up for marriages with higher class men. So if you were a big strong girl on the farm who wanted to be a nurse in the late 1800’s it wasn’t likely that ambition would be supported.

The men saying they look “trans” need to grow up. They simply worked out and humans look very similar, just because they don’t have petit noses and jaw lines doesn’t make them less feminine. Having muscles and even being taller/just as tall. I've heard men say their own masculinity feels threatened, which is why they like short/small/weak women. Finally, some natty female bodybuilding inspirations ✨ I'm about 11 months into my training and have never felt more feminine and confident in my own skin! Ladies, trust me; plenty of men like muscle on a woman. It doesn't make you look 'manly' when done naturally. While I did lose a little bit of titty (went down from 36DDD to 36C), my waist is snatched in from engaging and strengthening those abdominal muscles, and my waist and ass have gotten significantly more shapely. I LOVE my ass and hips!! *EDIT: Forgot to mention, the muscles on your chest can also give some lift and shape to your breasts if you're lifting very heavy weights I've inherited my large arms from my dad. After my first 6 months of training, I started getting tons of compliments from both men and women. Almost a year in and I still have not been told I look like a man. Hope this helps anyone who is looking into lifting themselves! ✨ 💪
Me too - natural butt lift, and breasts got larger, lifted and cleavage. I stopped looking like a plucked chicken. Men loved the "sporty " toned look and that I was strong & physical.
I could never eat enough to actually put on any muscle when I was lifting. I also do not have breasts and couldn’t wear cute sports bras like the other girls at the gym. Honestly the whole ordeal made me feel more insecure.
@@Kay-cp8tg I hope you found a sport you liked and can appreciate your physical appearance more now too. Most people want to be petite. I'm fine boned & even with muscle was smaller than most people. I'm 5'4" & body building took me from 49k to 54k in 12 months. I couldn't gain weight prior to that no matter how much I ate. Extra pasta & chicken worked. I got limited help from the gym & learned how to do "reps to failure" by reading. When I wore a sports top, I looked nearly flat chested. I didn't care. I was in my early 30s & it made such a difference. There are genetic differences for how easy it is to stack on muscle. For a female, I get superfast results. Wishing you all the best.
As a woman who works out this is my personal ideal body for a female bodybuilder tbh. I think it’s good to workout and train but the use of so many drugs now have definitely distorted that classic physique not just in women but men as well. I love the 1940/50s physiques they’re very natural and feminine still like you can tell they’re still women
I love this, though I understand why his message can be misconstrued. I’m a collegiate powerlifter and love being strong, but I hate the association many times that being strong and gaining muscle as a female is simply turning me more masculine and is unflattering. I love that while I can be strong, I can still maintain feminine features and be sexy, snatched, curvy, etc because being strong and looking feminine aren’t mutually exclusive. However, of course there are females who love the physicality of having a more masculine frame when building muscle and I admire that too! And neither them or I should be shamed for wanting to build muscle in any fashion anyways. (And also note the kind of musculature anyone builds is largely based on genetics and the kind of targeting lifts/exercises you do in the end)

It's not so much about maintaining their feminitiy- if they don't want to still appear feminine that's perfectly fine- it's more about how they can prove that you can achieve the results you want realistically without constantly relying on substances, they prove that the natural result is beautiful and rewarding, I think
Fr like just because a woman doesn’t look feminine it doesn’t mean she isn’t a woman. It’s honestly gross imo when mfs strip away a girl’s womanhood just bc she doesn’t fit the feminine standards.
I really like these, it's hard to know as a chick what parts I want to prioritize for hypertrophy, because I've only seen how a muscle looks very exaggerated on enhanced female athletes for the most part. Like I don't really like how big lats and traps look, but I've only ever seen them on women who are almost certainly on drugs and never just moderately developed on a natural bodybuilder, because I don't know that many muscular women IRL. And also the super low body fat percentage looks kind of weird on both genders and makes it even harder to tell what would look good
Personally I go on what I like the look of, plus working on my weaknesses. So for me, that would be working on my delts (I love the look) and glutes/upper legs (my main weakness). A lot of women like to go for the x frame look too, but if you broaden your shoulders you don’t necessarily need to have huge lats if you don’t want them
Just train for overall strength and you will look very good. Squats, deadlifts, presses and chin ups. If you only focus on the muscle individually then you’re gonna have a hard time tracking progress and evaluating your physique because it will only look a certain way due to proportion.
@@yoeyyoey8937 I wholeheartedly disagree. You can get very strong without getting bigger, and if I train someone with strength as the focus, if she knows how to train for strength specifically then her body won't develop the way she wants it to. @@Omar-kl3xpIt's all odd, as someone who has a very diverse friend group, I do notice that men who are into athleticism tend to struggle with generally treating women differently. But before I get off topic again, I do find difficulty in puzzling out some men's inflexibility towards the more feminine. I guess one could say I don't understand why they don't understand? Maybe it's because I've been around many people, so I'm used to being around varying personalities. Maybe me being lgbt plays a role and places me in a neutral ground? Maybe very feminine women are like masculine men too, but since I haven't met many, I don't know their perspective? Or it's just about how open to new experiences some is as a person, so the issue is personality and not gender based. I don't know, just some quick thoughts

Women are not sex objects. They’re not only for sex. A woman with a muscular body without looking hot is still amazing and deserves respect.

Having muscles and even being taller/just as tall. I've heard men say their own masculinity feels threatened, which is why they like short/small/weak women. Kinda pisses me off, as a 6ft 20 year old with short cropped hair and likes to work out, I'm mistaken as a dyke and therefore undesirable to men.
Wow, great comment.
Such a strawman argument. Some people just aren't attracted to a lot of muscle, just like some women aren't attracted to overly muscular men.
My mother used to cut down trees with a hand saw with her father back in the early sixties when she was 14 years old. Working on a farm makes you incredibly strong and resistant. She is 73 now but still has some strenght in her hands.

Imagine talking about the females of any other species as weak. "Don't worry about that mama bear" "lioness is soft and squishy" "that mare can't carry any weight at all"
Do you know why papa bear doesn’t stay with the family… because papa bear is so strong that if he gets really hungry, he will kill mama bear and all her kids and eat them all….
And as for the lion… people think male lions are weak because they usually don’t hunt as often as the females…. but there are many documentations of female lions retaliating against the male lion and all losing…. male lions aren’t weak just so strong that’s others do things for them

Aaa I've been looking for some references of muscular women to draw, what a great video :]
I think the words I'd use is that they just look strong *naturally*, like it's not artifical and that makes such a difference in how they look. Amazing!
my childhood neighbour, who was a fulltime single mother + a farmer was more shredded with bigger arms then i have after 5 years bodybuilding
These women need their own Jojos themes.
*EDIT: Forgot to mention, the muscles on your chest can also give some lift and shape to your breasts if you're lifting very heavy weights
I've inherited my large arms from my dad.
Profile pic fits the pose beautifully
The was the only crappy party about lifting, I lost 2 cup sizes but I still have cleavage thanks to my pecs growing 😁

This video is proof that a woman can have a lot of muscle on her body and still be natural.
You can do what you want, but bear the consequences. If a women has a body type men don’t like, that’s there choice, don’t tell men who to like, the women can be lonely.
@@PillofPerspective lol statistically, men are the lonely ones. Idk why you assume women are beating the door down to date crappy guys who only care about our appearance. We'd rather be strong than deal with weak men.
@@PillofPerspective we don’t gaf if men are not attracted to us, it’s more of being disrespected or discriminated against for merely not looking attractive to them.

I think he was mainly talking about taking hormones
It's not so much about maintaining their feminitiy- if they don't want to still appear feminine that's perfectly fine- it's more about how they can prove that you can achieve the results you want realistically without constantly relying on substances, they prove that the natural result is beautiful and rewarding, I think

I appreciate it bro, thank you!
And also the super low body fat percentage looks kind of weird on both genders and makes it even harder to tell what would look good
The first lifters didn't know either. Why don't you be what we need to see, E?
She said hypertrophy is her goal, so I'd direct her towards a regimen that prioritizes what she wants.
Without PEDs, you'll probably end up looking like some of the smaller Crossfit women.
Your bone structure & height matter too.

All women have testosterone, and it’s impossible for a medical prosidure to make anyone another gender. Meaning, no medical practice could actually change gender, rather, change thr way someone looks to agreye with how the brain wants the body to look. Basically, trans people are trans no matter if they get any injections or surgeries.
