A record 1 in 20 consultations in England involved people speaking to a doctor on video. Medics say online appointments are more convenient for patients.
Do you beg to differ?
Is it essential to meet your doctor face to face?

Our whole NHS is broken
I like the FaceTime or telephone appointments. They always get you in if they want to physically examine you.
I think it depends on the situation or patient. I think the NHS should offer flexibility with how you want to approach your appointment. It shouldn't be compulsory to just see medical or social care professionals online. My psychiatrist used to just do online video calls. I used to hate it. Eventually, I rang up and told the secretary I preferred to see him in person instead. I felt forced to see my shrink on video calls 📞 which was annoying. Online calls/communication is ok for some people, such as housebound people or very busy people who work. But I prefer to see someone in person. Plus, not everyone has a good Internet or phone signal connection still. The NHS should give people choice and control instead of just forcing people to do online stuff.
My issue is being told the call will be between 8am and 5pm meaning your whole day is consumed . In my case I waited all day and the call didn’t come
My issue with that is that it's your health, you make priority for it.
If your whole days gone so be it
I don’t have an issue with this however if you have a online GP appointment or a face to face should be the option of the patient not the receptionist. Also the lady on the panel saying it’s a two week wait to see your GP what planet is she living on the waiting time for my GP is two months plus…
My sister may have a picture I don't think I do.
Im glad that was mentioned. They call just before 6pm at the end of the day so it's too late to pick the prescription up and you have to wait for the next day. Very annoying if you're in pain or desperate need. They've done their job on their end but fail to consider these things.
My GP doesn’t do that.
@@jujutrini8412 mine does
Most problems would be solved if you fix that one thing
Well I twisted my iliocostalis muscle when four I only untwisted it when 37, know because of that my brain died in places my muscle structure was tention on right, and hardly none on left that muscle, I have nearly fixed myself and I used a tens machine, and some exercise equipment, and some yoga twist, so if I can fix that problem with me, then I'm Shure youse can fix most problem with People with the same methods, as I was totally fucked up.
Poor you and your family if your father your patients were part of his family. A job is a job.
