Over the years I have visited around the Amish communities in Ohio 3 times and loved it each time . Me and my now ex-wife spent several days there in one community on our honeymoon . And they are such great people to be around and spend time with . I grew up on a farm in Eastern Kentucky, working horses and mules and loved it, so in that way I can relate to the Amish people . And I am 58 yrs old and still live on the farm that I grew up on . And I love living out in the country and enjoying the simple things in life . 🤗👍💫
One day, on my way home from work, I saw an Amish buggy broke down by the side of the road. The wheel had broken off at the axel. I stopped and spoke with an Amish lady, who was alone. She told me her farm was down the road and asked if I would go there and get her husband to help. I told her I would, drove down the road to the farm, knocked on the door of the house and a man appeared at the door. He was the local Amish leader (Bishop?). I told him what happened, he and I went to his barn, got a spare buggy wheel and put in the back of my truck. We went back to where his wife was. We had a nice conversation. We worked together, replacing that broken buggy wheel. When we were done, he thanked me and shook my hand.

With me it was the other way around. In 2009 i was driving at 12:30am from a friend's house in a snowstorm and I lost control of my car and drove into a snowbank and it happened right in front of an Amish person's farm. I guess he heard me trying to get out and came out to me but my car was stuck really badly so he invited me into their house, he woke up his wife and told her to make me something to eat and get an extra bed ready because I will be spending the night. I was just blown away by their hospitality and how nice they were towards me, i was a complete stranger to them and yet they treated me like family. In the morning he told his kids to go to the neighbors and tell them to bring their horses, all together it took 10 horses to pull my car out of the snowbank. As i was about to leave, his wife brought me 4 sandwiches for the road a huge brick of home made cheese and 12 fresh eggs from their chickens to take home. I wanted to give them $50 dollars for their troubles but he said it would be a sin for them to accept money for helping someone in need, he just told me that i can repay it by helping someone else in need and ever since that day i always pull over if i see someone stranded on the side of the road and help them with whatever i can. Amish are amazing people.

Public schools used to put out Christian vinyl records up until the 80s, I mean songs that I had explicitly Christian lyrics. I've got two school programs from the 60s one has scripture reading as a part of it and the other has the Lord's prayer. They were graduation ceremony bulletins.

When we built our home 14 years ago, we had all our furniture made by the Amish. They make it all of solid wood, and you can pick the wood and the style of the furniture. Beautiful furniture. Well pass it down to our daughter.
GOD Bless Them, they teach their youth to help them and it teaches them Responsibility, Their Homes are BEAUTIFUL ,yes hard work but worth it ; they are an inspiration ,.
It's actually sad because I seen in one video an Amish person was saying that more and more Amish teens are leaving the Amish lifestyle to go live a regular city life. Which i think is sad, me myself personally i was thinking of joining the Amish church because the Amish said that anyone can join their church but you will have to live by their rules from than on. I am just worried if i could actually do it, to get rid of my smartphone and my car, no technology at all it would be hard but i think after a couple of years i would get used to it.
They are thriving while the rest of the world is falling under the totalitarian spell completely and languishing. I have wanted to live close to these communities for three years now. I know I will soon. In part 1 of this series it was stated that fewer people are leaving than they used to in the past. I believe that’s true. The rest of us are seeing the immense benefits in their determination to stand firm in their values and not vice versa. The deranged system we live under is the one that is imploding slowly but surely.
Western society could learn a lot from these people. There Sense of community is what is needed so badly in society these days. Thank you for posting. Watching from Australia
aren't Frankie and tay winter stein doing stuff like this in Australia? I'm sure I seen they were doing some kind of course and building community around sovereignty, of course spirituality isn't the centre but I guess spirituality is individual?
So these people believe is suffering without modern luxuries like fridge and basic underpants, that dont rub your d**k off. Religion of these people is stupid and they are born and grown to be liers and thiefs who get to forgive their own sins if they are in ministerial positions aka fathers or mothers and lead pack. Desent people but environment is not good to be straight honest person.
@@kiq654 Don't speak about what you don't know assuming you do, then you are the one who look absolutely stupid and for good reasons, because you are. The Amish have fridge, washing machines, light etc... as they all exist using gaz... they also having machines to build amazing furnitures using compressed air if I am not mistaking, and their furnitures last for generation, made of massive wood. To use electricity, computers etc may make your life easier at some level, but doesn't make you smarter and more creative and more capable. You are the perfect example of that. To have less often ask from you more capabilities to bring forth. They are at the leading edge on many fronts, including machine innovations, do not use welfare, social security, nursing homes etc, are less sick and subject to cancer etc than the general population, went through covid without following any guidelines, kept on working, gathering, no mask, no vaccine etc... and were declared very early on herd immunity without more death than the population in lock down, and their children had their usual life, nothing different, no suicide, no crimes, no psychological issue or fear driven behavior, and they made money while the general population didn't... and since they don't use electricity nor fertilizers nor car, they are not affected by what's happening now. So when you say "stupid" now, look in the mirror because you have so much to learn from those who live a different life than yours. You don't have to live like them, but you can for sure learn from them, a lot.
This is an incredible series that brings glory to God. It's beautiful to see the Spirit of the Lord move and provoke people to seek the Lord through scripture, and be led out of false religions. Seeing people come out of false religions and into a personal relationship with God, through the sacrifice of Jesus, gives me hope in this wicked world we are living in.
I’m a Christian and my values match the Amish. His Church is alive with true believers and many outside the faith don’t witness our hidden harmonious community, or choose not to recognize it.
I always admire the way of living of the Amish people. They live life with integrity. Exactly where is this once a year showcase in Lancaster PA, does anyone know? Thanks
We frequent Lancaster, PA quite often. The school mentioned of which the three fathers worked together to build it looks similar to a school near Ronks, PA - northern Lancaster County. Dienner's Country Restaurant is in Ronks and is a "must-visit" when (not if) you visit these wonderful people!
Thank you so much for this truly inspiring, informational video. Growing up in southetn Ontario I became familiar with the peaceful sight of those black buggies drawn by a horse. Truth be told, I felt envious and nostalgic each time.
EXACTLY how I felt watching this. Envious. The simplicity and sweetness between them all. Oh, I am sure they have emotional problems and not everything is perfect....but what is?? Thank them all for what they haver contributed to Pennsylvania and other areas. Several years ago I was able to visit. Today is Christmas Eve, and I wish them all a VERY Holy Christmas!
@@kcenzer4128 Why do you think they have EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS? Their lifestyles, their faith, mindset is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than ours. They aren't raised to think the way we do. Mainstream North American society is taught from a young age to think we are abnormal and must need psychological help. It's utter garbage. What we neef MORE OF is God. He's the missing link. That's what modern society desperately needs.
This is a great video of the Amish way of life . I know that they have their problems in their lives, just like other commitments of people have . But it seems that they deal with it better than we do, by keeping with their simpler way of life and they are hard workers and work together helping each other out . I have saw in the comments about people trying to say that they are a cult and that they shun people . Well they have to have some kind of law and order and leaders within the community and group of people to keep their lives organized . I find them to be great people well organized, honest and generous and very hard workers and they don't try to mess with our lives and cause us problems . They do a lot of stuff to help in our world, by the work that they do, the crops that they grow and the products that they produce and the wood and furniture things that they make, top quality stuff . So thanks for the video . 🤗👍💫
Such a sane and loving way to live together on the planet. A lesson which sadly, we will not learn, as we ever more rapidly destroy the earth that has sustained us for countless lifetimes.
Amazing people. Living in Paradise I would say. That gesture to help the killers wife and raise an amount for her is unbelievable. What a forgiving and generous heart. The world should sit back and follow in their footsteps. But greed is what the cause of the peoples downfall who are living in this world today.
God, family, community and farm land, …to me, this life is close to heaven. Labor intensive, but it keep men from trouble and sin. It’s God’s intention in the garden of Eden when sin was seeded in men. Hard work in a way is the best natural life to preserve our purity to God. Thank to their wisdom and loyalty, they certainly preserve this land by not emitting pollution to our world.
Jesus Christ gave a commission and with all respect but it was not to stay away from people; people's lives change when they hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The commission was to go out and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. To Seclude would mean perhaps the Gospel is not known.
God is a relational God.. He loves people that's why He so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life.
I went on an Amish tour in Lancaster over 10yrs ago. It was so interesting. In the 70s I saw it as- all rural. I was a teen on vacation and saw it as the 70s. Now in 2000s I went back and saw a highway of 20 chain stores/eateries and such an overtake of development. Route 30! Wow so commercialized! Sad we took over their land with such a shopping frenzy. I have mad respect for these hard working people. The tour I saw showed us a laundry room. They buy soap and no longer hand sew the white shirts men wear, they buy some certain items from Walmart now, the tour guide said. There is only 1 company in USA that make their battery powered washing machines (though this video says -air powered) other companies have shut down but 1 still provides them. I also saw a kitchen and bedroom with the clothes on hangers, so interesting! I saw the Amish newspaper announcing their shutdown.. over 10yrs ago this was! How they old school communicated... "Earl is sick, crops are moist by God's rain" Things like that. I was saddened they lost contact thru each other. The newspaper for Ohio and Pennsylvania was shutting down. SAD! Love the Amish! Thank and you for this video!
One Amish article : the men of the community had to move a barn because the river naturally changed course, do they got together & picked up the frame of the barn & moved the barn some distance from the river, it was said they [each man] only carried 8 pounds as they worked together ❤ one way to heaven on this earth. And when C-19-Virous came to them: they helped where needed, accepted help when needed, and r going through another ... shadow of a valley of death, that they r quite accustomed to also while living on this Earth, together ❤ 💙 ♥ 💕 💖 ❤ they face what comes, Allelu'jah praise GOD for all HIS blesings, family and friends ❤
I have always have had an interest in the Amish. They are had working with strong family values. I leave in South Western Ontario. It's so sweet when traveling on a side road and the children stop and with a big smile and wave at you. I have a speciality and interest in Special Education (children refuse to do assigned school work, school refusals, outbursts at school, communication difficulties, yelling, inappropriate language, misuse of material, medical concerns ,physical aggression, self harm etc.) I wish there was a way that I could provide consulting to assist with concerns and/or other concerns as described above.
They will sustain the American society in the near future They will be the light and salt to the world im proud of them thank you Amish brothers and sisters in christ
How would they sustain even themselves without proper education let alone society? We learn into word in normal society, not grown to run in wild packs of barely behaving children like in amish households who can have 10 under 5 year old kid (if somebody is sick or goes to prison for example, or dies which rarer). They are growing into regular society little by little and soon hopefully will be teaching to themselves proper maths and scienses, history etc. And not just local folklore that is mostly about received persecutions, which happend despite being protected minority in many places including ohio over well over century. Basically they are not hope or light, they are growing consern inside otherwise progressive society. Many cases where officers and sheriffs desided not to enforce law because of them being amish and thus above the law, that should stop immediately. Same goes towards illegal activities like incest which is growing concern coded by words genetic deseases in amish community. Soon they will have literal horns on their head. When normal person sees relative these people feel like they should get married and dont know anybody else. Netflix is chill is ice cream flavour to these people.
The type of work the Amish do the quality of work as well is amazing definitely sturdy and strong we buy our furniture from the Amish store in our area and the quality and craftsmanship is amazing
God bless the Amish. They are wise in protecting their children from a dark agenda in public schools today. They retain an air of decency which used to be common in society generally but is rarely found with Democrats and their un-American ideas and with socialist liberals in Canada. We pray that God will guide these nations back on the narrow road which leads to life and to heaven. God bless the Amish!
true BUT Christians are commanded to share their faith, to be ready in season and out of season, not to hide their light under a bushel, Amish go for the easy way. but true Christianity is not easy not in this world.

Bailing hay, and, playing freeze tag on the barn beams, barefoot. Lol. I value those summer days alot. Im 46 now and remain friends with Andy and Reuben. Theyve since moved to Michigan and have started families of thier own. Some of the kindest, sincere, and, most hard working people Ive ever met!
This is really beautiful. I admire their life style..how they work, their community gatherings and how they make children responsible.. I am from a country from South Asia which consists of islands. This reminds me of the life we had in the islands in the 90s. We had education just like that up to 7th grade. But then we had had to move to the main city for education. And with education everything has changed. The Armish culture was more like of our grandparents in the islands..

Public schools used to put out Christian vinyl records up until the 80s, I mean songs that I had explicitly Christian lyrics. I've got two school programs from the 60s one has scripture reading as a part of it and the other has the Lord's prayer. They were graduation ceremony bulletins.
@@magmasunburst9331 i was in public schhols in 60s n 70s,and i never heard any religion songs..was you in catholic school?
Our country was built and founded on God and The Bible. And we've gotten away from it as a society and we're falling apart, Is blessings to you keep looking up. By for now, brother Ken
@@HomeImProveMentHow No, it was not. Please, learn facts.
I like the Amish way of life, so serenity, simple and peaceful.
Takes no Education to have Their Amazing Talents . Love their Quilts and Woodwork
Y amor a Dios .🙏❤
Warum funktioniert das nicht bei uns?
I believe those Amish people are living in more peaceful life than us who lives in modern life.

When we built our home 14 years ago, we had all our furniture made by the Amish. They make it all of solid wood, and you can pick the wood and the style of the furniture. Beautiful furniture. Well pass it down to our daughter.

Wow, I can inmagine how beautuful it is
I love it God bless his people so simple but at the same time extremely bold
GOD Bless Them, they teach their youth to help them and it teaches them Responsibility, Their Homes are BEAUTIFUL ,yes hard work but worth it ; they are an inspiration ,.
Ain't t the truth.
We would be so much better off teaching our kids strong work ethic and responsibility..
It's what our Creator asks us to do.
Amish, please cherish and take well care of your horses. They are blessings from Our Father.
We have Amish where I live. They come by my home all the time in their horse and buggies. Some live right down the road from us.
I truly admire their way of life.
Respect. Keeping old school alive.
Wenn es mehr von diesen Videos in Deutsch gäbe, würde ich mich freuen.
If the world would only live this way what a beautiful world god bless
I hope their ways of life doesn’t disappear in the near future.
I think we all need a lil Amish in us! Great video, thank you!!
Thank you my relatives lived in these areas. I remember going with my uncle to deliver ice blocks to these family's. Brings back good memories.
amazing how people create their world through their beliefs...everything becomes a reflection of it.
Beautiful people. I would love to live this way.
Ich auch! Aber ich bin wohl schon zu alt!👵
Thank God for Saint John 3:16, Jesus makes a difference in God's ways work work thanks for sharing God-bless you by for now brother Ken
I’ve always said I’d like to live more like the Amish and be fully self sustainable
Secret is the power of the group not in self sufficiency
What a beautiful way to live. Fantastic. Wish I could be taken in by the Amish
I'm sure you can be if you talk with them and agree to live by their strict code of ethics.
This is an amazing video that shares a truly wonderful choice of life. The basis of all existence is the land and our holy father.
I would love to live in this kind of community. Less pressure and peaceful.
It's a wonderful film. Thank you for making and for presenting it. God bless you all.
the whole world needs to live like this.
That means no electricity. They aren't allowed to use it. It's quite different then what other people are used to.
🤗👍💫
I wish today's children were raised to be obedient and show respect for their parents and speak only when talked to.
They are all one family and they jump in and they help each other and they respect each other this is another thing I love about them
Such a sane and loving way to live together on the planet.
Greed, pride, and the quest for more power has lead to the downfall of many.
My friend Gloria is new order believes in Salvation and healing she prays for me alot I think so much of her...
Hello Bethliza. You have no idea how right you are in your comment. :>)
Amen.
The only narrow road is by faith in the shed blood on Calvary, the death, burial and reserrection of Jesus.
true BUT Christians are commanded to share their faith, to be ready in season and out of season, not to hide their light under a bushel, Amish go for the easy way. but true Christianity is not easy not in this world.
@@marilynwillett804 I've met English speaking Amish and they're very willing to share their faith but it's hard for the Old Order Amish since they speak a different language.
EXACTLY EXACTLY
NO TRANS WASHROOMS, NO CRT lessons, NO 100 pronouns
THIS WAS A VERY INTERESTING MOVIES AND IT SHOW HOW PEOPLE CAN FORGIVE EACH OTHER.GOD BLESS YOU ALL. .
Enjoyed the video very much. Would like to see more of them. 🙏
My Grandparents were friends with an Amish family in Ny. As a boy, I became friends with 2 of thier sons. Got to spend whole weekends at thier farm.
They are amazing people ❤❤❤
This is really beautiful.
I'm sure their students are well educated, and I have much respect for them.
My son went to college in Potsdam New York and when visiting I loved going to their farmers market on Sunday
For those interested this was made in 2007.
Thank you
It could have been made in 1907 and it would still be the same....
It is unfortunate that the narrator didn't include the Amish now living in Belize too in the worldwide summation.
Hard working people… got to respect that!
So much respect for them ❤🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful people
May God bless you all.
Peace
I would call this a documentary, not a movie.
Been watching Amish videos this 1 & Peter Santenelo videos nothing but respect for their way of life 💯👏🏻💙🏴🙏🏻
Let's not forget Amish is a way of life. Jesus is the way to heaven.
Very true, and very well said. Thank you.
Powerful story of how people love the Lord and care about each other thank you Jesus our Savior and our God Amen
I love there way of life and there values They are a good example of Gods people
Wonderful the Amish are truly God's people. Amen
Fascinating video documentary on Amish life, but there were many parts where the sound editors appaently felt the need to crank up the volume of the background music to obnoxious levels, even obscuring the narrator's commentary. .
Thank you for letting us know more about you and yes we need to change our life style and live off the grid with no T. V. and no phones and be more living toward neighbors . God bless you all and send my hugs and prayers . ❤️🤗🙏
Thank you. Informative and I can appreciate the similarities between Homesteading & Amish living. 🙏 ❤️

A very interesting film of the life of the Amish. As a Christian I plan to see many someday in Heaven after Jesus returns.
Ein schöner Wunschtraum!
Where ignorance is a bliss , it is a folly to be wise. Great people with great culture & believe.
At times I wish I had grown up Amish it is certainly a higher quality of life though I think they should embrace electricity a little more. Jesus said be in the world but not of the world
Yes and with God it is possible to be in the world 🌎 YET NOT OF THE WORLD 🤍
I've read that electricity has been found to be unhealthy so they did and do a wise thing.
I USED TO LIVE LIKE THE AMISH--- NO RUNNING WATER...INDOOR PLUMBING...MILKED COWS BY HAND.. WE DID HAVE ELECTRIC....WASHED WITH WRINGER WASHING MACHINE. HUNG CLOTHES ON A LINE OUTSIDE WITH CLOTHES PINS. MY FAMILY WORKED TOGETHER.. NOW WE DON'T
That was wonderful. Thank you. 🙏🌷
God bless Amish...they live the life to the fullest without worldly corruption...
Truly a stress-free living world for the sake of sanity and longevity
Hellllloooooo from PEI. Well done on the this video. Editing and graphics are good. You two look so natural
I remember a trip out East we made ,
When we went into a Amish restaurant/store, there was a whole wall of books.
I still remember doing a house tour, and I cleary remember my parents and me being shown the Dawdi Haus.
I admired Thier life style seems peaceful.
I'm so sorry, sorry for your loss. It should never have happened!!! My deepest sympathy to all!!! 🙏💔

Really that is Quite Incredible that the Amish responded with such Biblical Truth. Awesome people
