Yeah holy crap. Many musicians can strum basic rhythms while signing, but this is a whole other level. I wish I could sing and play at the same time, but it's hard for me to do much more than basic quarter or eighth note strums while also singing. I wonder if it's something people like her can do without a lot of training or if she had to develop the ability to handle two mental processes at the same time.
Completely agree! The slap bass fills leading into extended chords is just evidence of honest love for the music and a genuinely trained ear. The voice leading is awesome, I'm totally going to try and steal these chord shapes and progressions. Still not even taking singing while playing into account too! No wonder Tomo loved it so much!

u don't seem to understand how long i've playing the guitar and singing, well, it's not that long either, but it's years and years of playing, singing, and performing on stage. her guitar skills are pro level, and her tempo control is stellar, almost like she's a metronome herself.
It's a pretty good cover but I won't call playing some chords on tempo a pro level, better than 90% self taught guitar players tho
@@raphaelmejia319 u just don't seem to understand then, but i get what you're talking about. the odd chord timing is on a jazz chord change timing, normal ears might call it "not on tempo", but i've been a musician for a loooooooong time to figure it out, this one is a no brainer.

that’s a really cool cover. she had controls over her voice on verse, chorus, and throughout the song... and on top of that, the arrangement of guitar is really nice and smooth... with the bass plucking on the middle, while at the same time keeping it simple, so it don’t feel like a pause when she did a variations and that attitude made the music just flawlessly flow throughout the song... loved it !

@@alainpinsotes4844 musician sometimes thought of a great idea in a spontaneous way. they're playing and in the middle of the song, they want to add in some variations and improvisation on the go.
if the musician is too ambitious, they would take too much time on their playing/solo and the groove of the song would fades away because of them. making it feel like a pause.
she arranges the song with respect to the groove of the song, and I personally loved music with a nice flow and grooves.

@@karinavalrani8206 mostly! The original is in the key of F maj (vs. G maj here), and doesn't have some of the embellishments (e.g., the quick change from D9 to D7b9). Also, instead of walking up (Am7, Bm7, Cmaj7, C/D), I took a quick listen and it looks like the bass walks down, and so in the key of F the chords would be Bbmaj7 (6x776x), Am7 (5x555x), Gm7 (3x333x), C9 (x32333), or just move everything 2 frets up to play in G.
At first I was like dude there's no way she's not famous. Did some research and apparently she was on a korean talent show (Kpop Star). Honestly, so much talent ever since that young age she was on the show. Absolutely crazy.
