Literally every single action movie/tv show has the same scene of a monster that can kill people instantly, yet just picks up the main character and throws them over and over again until they figure out how to kill the bad guy. Come up with ANYTHING else writers.

It had a cool and unique vibe to it but, but I just didn't feel like it went anywhere. The "rooster" scene was one of the best scenes in the franchise IMO.
Terminator timeline makes Kingdom Hearts timeline look simple. Say what you will about the mechanics, one of the rules is that events cannot be changed. Terminator timeline has more flux than the capacitor on a certain DeLorean. The only movie not to alter the future is the first one, where the time travellers cause the future they came from to happen.

Of course how else would they force in a "Strong female character" ? They couldn't write a new interesting one so instead they kill off a character who can actually act and have some believability and emotion instead replacing her with Dora The Explorer who was a terrible choice. This is what happens when your main objective in a movie or tv show is to push wokeness and nothing else your main character and/or story lacks any believability and substance.
What doesn't exist? Why are we even talking 'bout Terminators in this Honest Trailer of Desperado? Arnold ain't even in this movie and neither Terminator took place in Mexico, iirc. So confused.
As much as this is just another sci-fi action movie, it really hit me in the feels when Arnold said "I won't be back". I grew up watching his movies and this simple sentence had weight in it. It was more honest Arnolds thought than it was sentence in the script.

It's an Honest Trailer running joke. They always had that Alan Raptor inserted somewhere in trailers since 2018. It got dusted during Infinity War and disappeared for a while but returned during Endgame and has appeared since then.
Terminator should never have lasted this long. Didn’t help that everything between this and T2, were films desperately trying to set up new series work. At least this feels like it ends...unlike the shitty stinger at the end of Genisys that I knew was coming.
I can understand what they were trying to do with the story, but killing John was not the way to go. The creaters were just saying woman strong and don't need man when they should have brought in the new threat and the new leader needed to be taught by the old. John could have still played a key role while imtorducing new characters and concepts.
If you ask me they've been killing John since Terminator 3. He underwent character assassination in that movie that's far worse than being killed in this one plus he was killed in the future. Salvation I didn't have a problem with his character outside of the fact he wasn't the leader of the resistance yet. In Genisys he was transformed into a Terminator then killed. That's why I didn't care about his character dying anymore. I was all for fresh start. At least they wrapped up his character by having skynet wiped from existence so he wasn't going to become the leader of the resistance anyway.
"If you can shake it off" No one literally no fan of T1 and T2 is going to shake it off, James Cameron slaughtered Jhon Connor and gave a middle finger to all fans since the 80s by doing that.

This ends messy dramatic entanglements in favor of action however the audience only cares about the action if they care about the characters. Of course how else would they force in a "Strong female character" ? They couldn't write a new interesting one so instead they kill off a character who can actually act and have some believability and emotion instead replacing her with Dora The Explorer who was a terrible choice. This is what happens when your main objective in a movie or tv show is to push wokeness and nothing else your main character and/or story lacks any believability and substance.

Honestly, I can still watch all the other Terminators after T2 but not Dark Fate.
As much as this is just another sci-fi action movie, it really hit me in the feels when Arnold said "I won't be back". I grew up watching his movies and this simple sentence had weight in it. It was more honest Arnolds thought than it was sentence in the script.

It's an Honest Trailer running joke. They always had that Alan Raptor inserted somewhere in trailers since 2018. It got dusted during Infinity War and disappeared for a while but returned during Endgame and has appeared since then.

I think my brain completely gave up on liking this movie when they killed John Connor. I also hated the constant cliche dialogue.

They killed John Connor and killed my interest.
I can understand what they were trying to do with the story, but killing John was not the way to go. The creaters were just saying woman strong and don't need man when they should have brought in the new threat and the new leader needed to be taught by the old. John could have still played a key role while imtorducing new characters and concepts.

If you ask me they've been killing John since Terminator 3. He underwent character assassination in that movie that's far worse than being killed in this one plus he was killed in the future. Salvation I didn't have a problem with his character outside of the fact he wasn't the leader of the resistance yet. In Genisys he was transformed into a Terminator then killed.
That's why I didn't care about his character dying anymore. I was all for fresh start. At least they wrapped up his character by having skynet wiped from existence so he wasn't going to become the leader of the resistance anyway.

This ends messy dramatic entanglements in favor of action however the audience only cares about the action if they care about the characters.
