The token is a Normal monster, and in real life Scarlight's effect requires Effect monster, so the anime can't show the effect using the token. And the Resonator is Normal Summoned, while Scarlight's effect needs Special Summoned monster.
If you search the King scarlet trap with the anime effect, you can see that it's treated as a trap card while the token is on the field. So, Scarlight only can destroy special summoned *monsters* and the token is treated as a trap card. Jack couldn't win in that way

No he didn't. Accel Synchro uses two Synchro Monsters to synchro summon and it has the same speed as quick spells, meaning that you can do it during your opponent's turn. Jack used double-tuning here, with 2 regular non-synchro tuners. In an earlier episode, however, Crow synchro summoned with two Synchro monsters - though that was during his turn and the monster he summoned didn't specifically require Synchro monsters.... So it's the closest we've got but still not the real deal.
