Ladies stop bringing boyfriends or groom to see the dress it’s bad luck that has been always the saying ! It’s suppose to be your choice and I don’t like people telling me what I love It’s my day !
If people want to bring their groom, then I don't see why not. Not only is the dress the bride's choice, it's also her choice who she brings. No difference between asking her mother, asking her best friend, or asking her groom. Whoever she wants. Having said that, this particular groom seems rather controlling. But that doesn't mean they all are.

What the hell are you talking about?? When the first bride came out in the 1st dress, it was horrible. When she came out in the dress of her choice her fiancé loved it. When the tears flowed, he jumped up to comfort her. He was not controlling her.when he saw the pics of her first pic, he said he hated it. A little strong of language, but she was the one who showed it to him, so??He liked it better in person, so he would have liked it on the wedding day, after alterations had been made and with a veil. But she chose to show him the pic and from there they ended up back at Kleinfeld’s and she left with a gorgeous gown. Never did the groom-to-be show any aggressive or controlling behavior. I used a skill called critical thinking. You may want to look into it. It is very helpful in situations such as this.
Ngl the first dress was fire on that first bride and she picked it for a reason. Even the groom was impressed so you know it was good. I can’t believe he literally got her to pick a dress with no character.
My husband saw the wedding dress I picked out all by myself, because I don’t need someone else to tell me I looked good in it, my husband loved my dress, I helped him pick out his wedding outfit, it was small church wedding in a very small town, it was perfect, my Brother in law is a Pastor and he performed the service, we had our reception across the street from the church. My husband didn’t even look at my dress until the morning of our wedding, we had so many family members who showed up around 2am, the night before our wedding, and 1 tiny bathroom, so everyone saw everyone’s clothes & we celebrate our 45th year of marriage in a month.
Unpopular opinion: I didn't find the groom controlling at all. He was there to support, guide (as she wanted his input), reassure, and share in the moment. I find it wild that a groom helping to plan the wedding is considered 'controlling'. It's not the bride's day - it is the couples day and if the bride wants it to be all hers, then there are some red flags for you.
The only thing that struck me as controlling was her saying he has to be in every decision and him saying he didn't patience for shopping or didn't like shopping or whatever it was. So, I had thought, "...So, why are you there then?" But by the end of it, I didn't actually feel like he was being controlling. He was supportive of her, especially when she started crying over the dress she loved, and he seemed genuinely happy for her.
I agree 100% imagine if it was flipped and the groom said she wants to be a part of every decision in the wedding and everyone said 'red flag' poor guys can't win. Some people are controlling but this guy didn't seem to be at all.
It would be interesting to see the first bride's first appointment. It seems very strange that someone else was trying the dress on for her. I don't think I have ever seen that in this show and the dress wasn't that small for her. Maybe if she was heavily pregnant or something, but bride's try on dresses that don't zip up all the time. I'm glad she found a dress she liked and it definitely seemed more convenient for dancing than the first pick.
So...the bride's family helped her pick a beautiful dress, & the first thing 'Joe' does in response is say it's ugly & insist on cancelling it so he can chose the dress himself. It's not just disrespectful to his bride, it's disrespectful to her family. He seemed pissed that her family helped the bride make a decision without him, & he was determined to undermine that decision & get his own way. I can hear the red flags snapping in the wind.
My fiancé says he wants me to wear a flower crown and Aline dress. Guess what? I’m wearing 3m veil and mermaid dress! He knows that and supports it, as ultimately I’m the one wearing it! And she looks stunning in the dress she chose as the first one

I honestly don't know if I'd be more shocked or not shocked if that Latino couple was still together. I disagree with people calling him controlling, but he's a big mouth who's about as emotionally aware as a brick and she's a people pleaser. He's going to hurt her every day and probably not even notice. I honestly hope they've broken up because they just don't work as a couple.
Her original dress was beautiful on her. I am afraid for this woman that she would lose all confidence because her fiance did not have a positive reaction. He should have been supportive regardless, because she is wearing it.
That’s why, in South Africa, the first time the groom and the in laws see the dress is at the wedding. Of course there are some unusual cases where the bride’s mother is not available.
Ppl are acting like he’s rude but I think he’s so nice and trying to reassure her. I think she is more insecure and a bit of a pushover but mostly wanted her husband to really like her dress.
He’s so nice for making her cancel her dream dress for her wedding lol? And then suddenly switched up which is even worse, idk if that’s my definition of nice
i completely understand where everyone is coming from but to be honest, i love my partner very much where i’d want his approval on my dress as well. He doesn’t have to LOVE it as much as i do but i would want him to like it as well. I’d want him to be part of searching for my wedding dress along with the family. But that’s just me.
My goodness I would tell the groom to be , to just take it easy and just let the bride enjoy what she likes and just be happy for her. He is putting so much stress on her .Thank goodness she found a dress. I hope he mellows out when they get married , especially when she wants to decorate her home. Sometimes guys should stay out of women’s business . I would tell him to go decorate the garage and leave me alone.

2:26 is why grooms should have no say in the dress. She could have walked down the isle toward him in the dress he criticized and he would have loved it 😂😂😂
Although I think the groom should wait to see the bride in her dress this guy was actually pretty nice and supportive and always told her how beautiful she looked. Just because u don’t agree with grooms in the appointments doesn’t mean ALL of them r bad.
I was thinking the same! I didn’t think he was bad at all. From the title it makes it sound like she liked the dress and then he vetoed it when the reality is she wanted his opinion from the beginning (some brides actually do it’s not uncommon at all) but her family talked her out of it AND she never loved the dress to begin with. So, she came back and brought him with her like she wanted to from the beginning. When asked what he wanted in a dress, he didn’t emphasize something tight and sexy, he said something she could dance in. When he got bored he didn’t rush her or complain, he just wandered the store. When he didn’t like a dress, he didn’t trash it, he responded quite gently with his thoughts. Then when he saw she finally fell in love with a dress, he immediately told her she looked beautiful in it. What’s there to complain about, again?
I agree and I wonder why everyone is looking at it so negatively? He seemed like a sweet guy and was supportive of her. I find nothing wrong with him giving his opinions. He was reasonable and supportive.
I told my boyfriend early on that he can have his opinions and preferences, but that doesn't mean I will do it. For example, shaving my legs in winter is a no no for me, it's bad enough in summer. They itch and burn on bad days, and I don't want to add dry winter skin to that. Plus, it's too cold to have them show
Why are we as intelligent women that have educated ourselves hard working and beautiful are making the biggest mistake of showing her groom the dress . We are forgetting the point of the curiosity . Omg is he marrying her or the dress ! Men need to stay out of the dressing room . It’s absurd !
I’m shy at times too but even I wouldn’t want a fiancé that would decide everything for me. The dress she chose was beautiful and if that “man” can’t just love her in anything she wears for their wedding, RUN AWAAAAY!!! I very much doubt that marriage will last cuz everyone has a limit/breaking point.

My fiance' who does have a great eye and excellent taste told me about the dress I choose for our wedding : "Whatever you pick, I'm going to love because you'll be in it." We check with each other on many aspects of our life together, but trying to closely control how a woman dresses... as may commenters noted, that's a red flag.
Jesus this poor girl. They can get her ina sample so they had her slimmer cousin that does not have the same shape as the bride and then push her to buy that and then her fiance seems obvious to her feelings. She seemed like she was holding back tears so much
Well , I was in a relationship for around 15 years and without telling everything else, one thing he did was tell me what I should wear , criticise what I was wearing, when I was out he made me actually change! , criticise as I was just about to leave. So I would be out feeling very uncomfortable, very low self esteem and no confidence. I’m out of that now in a new relationship and wear what I choose even if it’s not fashionable all the time. I can’t live like that . Get out now . These men don’t change 😢

Exactly, Sallykins. Ppl see her lack of confidence and think it’s her character flaw, when most of the time it’s the effect a person like him constantly doubting her has on her ability to feel good and solid about herself and her decisions. The bride who cancelled her wedding dress should be calling of the wedding. I don't understand why a groom thinks he should have an input o the brides dress. That is just the start of things to come.
@@donnabradley9926Not necessarily and it just depends.
She has no will power. You can tell that she really liked her first dress but he changed her mind. So sad that he lied that he said and I QUOTE “ the last two pictures she sent him he said what were they thinking when they made these dresses “ and now he said that, he is wrong. Millions of people heard him and I hope she finds her voice and Stands UP for her self
Did you watch it. She didn’t though. She liked it on her cousin. Not herself. She loved the one she picked this time.
She didn’t even try it on!!! They might actually balance each other…she is sooooooo passive, it seems like she’s the one who’s dragged him along. She didn’t even try the first one on and people are giving him shite for it??? Wild.
No, she won’t.
Anyone who will admit they are/were wrong is a keeper. (Remember that when you vote.)
A reasonable groom would love what she loves and not have to be involved in every decision being made. You can see the dynamic here already and he knows it!
0:50 the look of concern on the consultant’s face 💀
She didn’t even try the first dress on!!!! He looks like he’d rather be anywhere else…and he didn’t nix her dress, she sent him a list and he picked that one as the least favourite with no idea it was hers and SHE freaked. She’s bawling because she found HER ideal dress- the last time she found her cousin’s dream dress because SHE DIDN’T TRY IT ON. The man deserves a medal.
I see an abusive relationship in her future if she stays with her control freak fiance....this is a huge red flag situation
The better be tears of joy is more what he means. I hope this girl figured him out before this wedding.
Their wedding was actually shown on the show so no lol

That first bride's fiancee was too demanding. Run.
Right? narcissist pur sang.

I thought he was lovely
@@irenadiab3173he made her cancel a dress she rlly liked… for her wedding… she looked so sad and almost cried like ?? Clearly he cares more about how she looks than her happiness
@inomu9129 He didn't make her do anything. He simply didn't pick her dress as one of his favorites. SHE canceled the dress. Listening for comprehension is fundamental.
"I'm shy, and he's more outgoing"...so that means he tells her what to do
I think it's nice that the bride wants her finance to like the dress. The wedding is not just about the bride. Before we judge a relationship remember we only see a little glimpse of it.
I hate when the groom does this. It should be the bride's choice. So controlling.

Exactly, she clearly said she wasn't sure about the original dress
“Wow!” When she walks out in the dress he dissed. He doesn’t have a freaking clue!

She’s shy. He’s controlling. That isn’t a good “balance”.

@@grandthanks oh piss off she changing because him he is controlling Dumb arse
I like the way he looks at her, she doesn't really know what she wants and who she is, maybe he can give her confidence. To me he seems to be a nice man, warm and loving
I can't see the video for all the red flags in the way.
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
He seemed pretty nice to me, not every groom is bad just cuz they want to come to the appointment, also the bride wanted him there so…
1st bride needs to cancel the wedding and revaluate the relationship. 2nd bride chose a beautiful dress.
Yeah ...I bet they don't stay together long or she lives very unhappy.
@@songbirds3712eh really? Just really?
Absolutely no need to cancel the wedding. I foresee them celebrating many years together.
@@sharcrum They’re still together with 3 children. Not sure if they’re happy 🤷🏼♀️
Ngl the first dress was fire on that first bride and she picked it for a reason. Even the groom was impressed so you know it was good. I can’t believe he literally got her to pick a dress with no character.
The bride with a controlling groom needs to cancel him - it will be easier to do it BEFORE the wedding than after.
Red flags everywhere with the first groom 🚩🚩🚩🚩
Red flags 🚩 … she needs to become more assertive & independent
Her groom will dictate the whole marriage life. Hopefully at some point she will have the guts to stand up to him .
He's making her cry over a dress and they're not married yet. This shows his maturity level.
If you like the back of your dress more than the front, you can always wear it backwards or just walk down the aisle backwards, lol!
Me preocupa.un poco la primer novia... A ambas les deseo todo ala felicidad del mundo!!! Que sean buenos esposos
OMG -- girl run. Run, run, run.
I agree with you and he was not that bad.
Disagree his a walking 🚩
The only thing that struck me as controlling was her saying he has to be in every decision and him saying he didn't patience for shopping or didn't like shopping or whatever it was. So, I had thought, "...So, why are you there then?" But by the end of it, I didn't actually feel like he was being controlling. He was supportive of her, especially when she started crying over the dress she loved, and he seemed genuinely happy for her.
he literally said her wedding dress was ugly
I agree 100% imagine if it was flipped and the groom said she wants to be a part of every decision in the wedding and everyone said 'red flag' poor guys can't win. Some people are controlling but this guy didn't seem to be at all.
The dress Ivania chose is perfect for her!❤ gorgeous
Look at him in the dressing room. He is almost sitting on top of her!

I don't find him controlling. He seems nice. Though I must disagree with him being there.
I didn't like any of the dresses on the first bride.
I feel really bad for her because if he's controlling now what is it gonna be When they get married.RUN!!!!
I honestly don't know if I'd be more shocked or not shocked if that Latino couple was still together. I disagree with people calling him controlling, but he's a big mouth who's about as emotionally aware as a brick and she's a people pleaser. He's going to hurt her every day and probably not even notice. I honestly hope they've broken up because they just don't work as a couple.
yeah she’s very passive but it’s ok with her so let them be happy
Remember she said "i was not sure" and still she selected it. Seems like she is just a people pleaser and has no opinion of her own.
Never show the groom the dress before the wedding
Run.
Both looked pretty
The first case, please tell me they didn't go through with the wedding
Ppl are acting like he’s rude but I think he’s so nice and trying to reassure her. I think she is more insecure and a bit of a pushover but mostly wanted her husband to really like her dress.
He’s so nice for making her cancel her dream dress for her wedding lol? And then suddenly switched up which is even worse, idk if that’s my definition of nice
The older I get, the more against marriage I become.
i completely understand where everyone is coming from but to be honest, i love my partner very much where i’d want his approval on my dress as well.

At least he put his money where his mouth was!
2:49 the gas lighting is strong with this one 😑 cancel the finance, keep the dress!!
You need to evaluate your relationship!
the click bait wasn't aligned with reality. She tried the canceled dress on, and he liked it.
2:26 is why grooms should have no say in the dress. She could have walked down the isle toward him in the dress he criticized and he would have loved it 😂😂😂
I hear so many brides talk about ‘my’ wedding rather than ‘our wedding’.
Although I think the groom should wait to see the bride in her dress this guy was actually pretty nice and supportive and always told her how beautiful she looked. Just because u don’t agree with grooms in the appointments doesn’t mean ALL of them r bad.
This marriage will end in tears - best case scenario.
That 1st lady seems to have confidence issues.
Run!!! Run now from that control freak!!!
Sounds like a control freak.
1st bride's fiance wasn't so bad. He was supportive of her and the 2nd dress was much more suited to her
I was thinking the same!
I wonder if they are still married. Lol...
Ewww….pushy controlling groom…yikes.
1 minute in to the video and I can already tell she's controlled and abused, at least mentally. That's why he made her come back without her family😔
💜🖤💜
Abused? Lol. He clearly loves her. Stop being ridiculous
Isolation is the number 1 tool of an abuser. He already started before they got married.
She seemed like she was holding back tears so much
There are sooo many Red Flags here!
This was filmed in 2011. Any update on them??
Why do these women bring “The Groom” to a shop to buy a wedding dress? Such BAD LUCK!!
Some people are superstitious, some are not. Personal preference.
That is why the old tradition of it being bad luck for the groom to see the dress before the wedding day.

They destabilize in order to prey upon their target. Thats part of how they do it. I hope your life is as happy as you want to make it now!!!!
"They look fantastic dancing, it's going to be a great wedding." But will it be a great marriage is the important thing.
Oh, no, this guy is not for her. Take care!
