Prime Minister Marape urges Papua New Guineans to participate in 2024 National Census

  • Prime Minister Hon. James Marape this evening called on all Papua New Guineans to "be counted" in the 2024 National Census, which begins tomorrow.
    He addressed the nation during a press conference alongside Administrative Services Minister Hon. Richard Masere, who is responsible for the census, Public Service Minister Hon. Joe Sungi, and Chief Secretary Ivan Pomaleu.
    During the press conference, Minister Masere provided an update on the census preparations, while Minister Sungi encouraged all public servants to actively support the census efforts from June 17-30.

    How could people live out of Province enrol or register family names, could their registrations be referred back to their original Provinces or register wherever they are?
    Am asking this question to avoid duplicate registrations and double populations.

    Dear Prime minister team,
    It has been very difficult to get something as simple as a birth certificate and NID even when paying to speed it they keep telling the person to comeback and make excuses it can take several months and still no birth certificate or NID.
    Please appoint someone to look into this
