I 100% agree, I remember seeming how the last episode ended and just being like “Why”, but on second watch I’m slowly growing to appreciate what season 3 is the grand scheme of the series. I also like disconnectedness of each episode, in that way it reminded me of season 1. Also I agree with you Matt, Napkins absolutely Honks! My favorite episode of this season.
Dude I know, they’re funny for a scene or two but when every fucking episode has 3 scenes of them doing nothing but arguing, I get annoyed. They get like more screen time than any other character
@@asthecitysleepsofficial There was just too much of them. You could probably fill a whole episode with their scenes which contribute nothing to the plot or the main character’s stories
@@asthecitysleepsofficial Exactly lol, that’s the problem. Instead of developing the plot, we spend half the season with two chucklefucks who barely matter at all. They took up time the story needed to develop and didn’t get
Personally I really loved the season finally. It felt like getting together with old coworkers and ranting/raving about past dinner services. About the people we loved to be grinding with and those that grated away our sanity. To the good bosses and amazing nights and places we were dieing to leave. And then the drunkenly making frozen pizza/taquitos at 3am
The whole season was dog shit . Absolutely fuck all happened . Nothing Did they get a stat ? Fuck knows Did she leave , fuck knows Did he even speak to Clare ? No Did he do anything other that fucking moan ? No . All this daft haunting shit with John cena . Lord almighty I can’t remember a tv show being so good to so shit in one swoop , I really can’t .
The best episode to me was ice chips. Jamie Lee Curtis just steals the show whenever she’s involved. I think part of the reason that this felt a little unfocused is because they filmed this and season four back to back. So perhaps the intention is a single narrative thread that’s been split over two season to tell. Hence the to be continued in the season finale. However, Carmy really needs to start going to therapy or something. Even at the dinner celebration, he couldn’t get out of his own head and engage with everyone else at the table
I wasn't sure when you'd drop a video about season 3 but I'm very grateful for this short. I still enjoyed the season overall. It's well made, has a great soundtrack, there were some great character moments and Napkins was the best episode for sure. But I was disappointed with the lack of progression in the story and character development.
Wow if Matt Draper would make a video essay about this show it means it’s worth watching! I haven’t been misled by any of this channels recommendations!
It was a steaming pipe of dogshit It had writers strike and being up its own hole written all over it . First episode was acceptable from a performance art type deal but the other 10 episodes can go straight in the bin .

The Faks are becoming a bit grating to me personally

What? This whole season they were the only enjoyable part IMO lol.

@@Echoingdolphin not that the plot existed this season at all though lol. We got about a day or two worth of plot over 10 episodes.

Thanks for the amazing video Matt ❤
I just wouldn’t say unsatisfying. They’ve had me for this long, so, I hate to sound cliche, but, maybe you should let them cook in season 4.

Does that include the napkins cause that episode was beautiful.
A meandering mess. Lazy storytelling
There's only two seasons so far right? Wtf are some of y'all talking about...
There are 3 seasons of the show. That's why there are reviews of season 3.
