The first 20 seconds is the sound every Alien movie and game should have. It's a feeling of ultimate suspense and mystery and it's a must in every Alien story (can't forget the great feeling I had at the beginning of the first 2 Alien films, you just knew the movies were going to be great). Well done Kevin Riepl for realizing this!
i don't remember why everyone hates the game... is it do to the bug in the code making the AI bad or the graphics? is it both? some third thing i don't know about? i played the game alot as a child (reason why i love anything related to the aliens franchise) so i don't see anything bad about it. care to enlighten me?
@@glowinggreen2607 Dialogue and the story. The game breaks sometimes with bugs that aren't patched. The combat is only good until you fight human enemies because they're coded correctly, the xenomorphs run straight at you, unless you fix the mistake in the AIs coding for the aliens, making them actually a threat, it doesn't make up the rest of the game for having a god awful story.
@@glowinggreen2607the game when first released was filled with so many bad things. Glitchy dialogues, NPC coding was screwed, etc. But eventually a modder I think from Australia came by and patched the whole thing up. I played his version of ACM and I had a blast
Colonial Marines was hands down a 10/10 game, don’t understand why everyone hates it. Sure the dialogue wasn’t perfect nor was the story but it was still very fun. So grow a spine and stop hating games that you don’t like.
You could picture this soundtrack in your mind with a menu screen for an Aliens movie in a DVD player or something with cutscenes of the action, and every scene fitting perfectly into the soundtrack suspense. All we need now is for TemplarGFX’s mod to be added into the base game.

sometimes you can spend thousands of hours on a multiplayer and it's better than the campaign..... and sometimes you can spend thousands of hours in the the campaign and it's better than the multiplayer.... for Aliens Colonial Marines i will say : The campaign is 10/10 and the multiplayer is 8 or 7,5/10. finale note : don't spit on this game.... it's more reallistic than: aliens fireteam "elite"........

Aliens Colonial Marines, Alien Isolation, 2010 AVP are all great games imo. Can you really blame them for the alien AI in Colonial Marines for not being like the AI characters we have today? Chill out.
Should i get the game. I mean when i listen to this i am like it can't be that bad that music is so great. and yeah i am an alien Fan i do have all the movie and like them. I also got Isolation. But i don't know be a marine and taking my revenge on those perfect organism. And now it is like what 16$ on Steam. Should i consider buying it. And yeah i know alien isolation is better still i find annoying to die every ten minutes or so i want so REAL MARINE Action.
the story is crap, the a.i is crap, the graphics look dated, the framerate is horrendous, the locations are cool (hadley's hope, the sulaco) but they miss that 80's lo-fi sci-fi feel, the characters are barely fleshed out and they are badly voice-acted, the mk2 pulse rifle only has 40 rounds and the original pulse rifle can only fire in bursts of 5, the campaign has too many uscm vs weyland pmcs levels, the multiplayer matches are too short and nobody plays it overall, if you want to feel like an absolute badass, either get some mods for this game (if there are any) play avp 2010 or avp classic 2, this is not the ultimate aliens experience
+Kronz euge I buyed it a years ago never finish it too much glitch and that Frame per second on PS3 too bad it could have been good. At least We got Isolation which was Hard But fucking Great now i think they should go with a sequel where we can actually fight aliens back but in Survival kind of way. Maybe alternating between A marine and Ripley. Were Marine part are more like old classic Resident evil were you need to spend your ammo and turret wisely. And on the other the part with Ripley are Total Stealth.
I agree. But i want to know the full alien storyline. I collect the books, the movies. the comics etc. Isolation was a badass game. I hope that the new alien/prometheus part will be a success for the franchise and their will be more games.
The game was perfection some just don't know how to play and enjoy. For me the only bad thing was the loader fight scene, the Xenomorph kept phasing through walls and teleporting behind me and side note a continuing from Aliens 2 MIGHT be in making. After number 2 people lost interest in the Franchise because they changed it so a new producer thought he can bring it back by bringing Hicks back from the dead and the USCM. Unfortunately the idea was in 2016 but it has been some time so let's hope they are working on it more by now and let's also PRAY it's not dumb as fuck like the Alien Covenant......piece of shits lol
I liked alien, but aliens was always superior in my opinion and a continuation of hicks and the colonial marines vs the Xenos and wey yu would be light years better then anything that came after aliens, including Ridley Scott’s prequels
