You forgot to mention you need to have a case of beer in the fridg (just not bud lite) so you can offer a nice cold beverage to your plants if the outside temps go over 95 degrees a few days in a row, they just don't like to be too hot. Last year mine prefered Pabst Blue Ribbon 😁.

Sounds like you are on the Ozarks. I am in southern MO and the soil is all clay and rock....ugh. Always make my own soil.
