Ahhhh, I only wish, but my winters are tooo cold that once deep autumn frosts arrive it's game over for the growth of anything until the warmth of spring wakes all up once again!
Good day, Niall. Happy to see you! Love the Skimmia!! Looked beautiful with a touch of frost on the plant. Hope the storm passed quickly! Bright sunny & cold in Boston. ❤
Can’t express how happy I was to sit down and watch this with my morning coffee! Great to see you back again Niall 🙌🏼 I wondered if you have any autumn seeds you’d suggest I’ve loved starting snapdragons, lupins and ranunculus so far for spring 🌱
Aw that's very sweet of you! Glad you enjoyed it! I would say at this stage it's going to be very late to start most things, but you could certainly start sowing your sweet peas if you like them? You could also have a go at sowing a few hardy annuals under cover - there's no guarantees, but it could be fun to try!
Good morning Niall, good to see you, hope you're well. I've just noted the names of those plants, I have 2 helibores and split them when they get too big so makes for more lushness in the garden. I'm going to get a Scimea, what size do they grow to? And would under conifer on my borders be ok, morning sun then shade rest of the day. Thanks. Horrible here, heavy rain and very dark but much milder. Too wet in the garden. The snow that came two weeks ago finished my cosmos and nicotiana off,sad 😮,they were still looking lovely. Saved plenty of cosmos seeds for next year Off to church soon, have a great week see you on your next vlog, thank you bye for now, happy gardening 🎄⛄🧑🎄xx
Morning Hazel! 👋 Have a nice morning in church! Yeah now that the cold weather is properly kicking in, it's finishing off a lot of plants. Ultimately, a Skimmia can get to about 4ft wide/tall but that will take a long time and they can be pruned. As for the location, I think Skimmia should be ok in that location providing you don't plant it too far under the conifer where it'll really compete for light and water. But at the edge of the conifer should work!
Hellebores have become one of my favorite flowers, each year I add a new variety/color for my birthday in January.

I’ve collected a number of hellebores. I love that they bloom in winter! 😊
Yeah they're superb plants - and they add so much character don't they?
Thanks Niall love hellebores. So much variety. Microgreens always a winner. Have a great week.
Thanks, you too!

Which tree's seed can be planted in December?

Thanks!
I like ur garden flower ❤
So nice of you
So glad you highlighted that hellebores are toxic, they can seriously harm or even kill dogs as well as being a risk to children, horses, etc.
Yeah, they're superb plants but it's important that people know what they're buying
