It´s our product which we call reefceramic. It´s made by a special german clay with some additionals. The bottom is our special ceramic mortar. You mix 1 liter of it with 400ml freshwater and can do the same work. After this let the aquarium run with normal freshwater for some days. Than take osmosis water and salt and begin to start your reef tank!

Das kann man machen, wie man möchte, auf jeden Fall kann die Sandschicht deutlich dünner ausfallen und somit auch kaum Phosphatdepots enthalten. Formteile aus Mörtel herzustellen macht keinen Sinn, diese wären viel zu leicht und brüchig, dafür benötigt man schon richtige Keramikteile.

It burns at 1300°C, the mortar only have to mix with water, but its´not so porous as the reef ceramic!
Der Mörtel wird auch im Süßwasser verwendet, läßt allerdings die Härte etwas ansteigen.
kann man den Keramimörtel auch für Süßwasseraquarien verwenden?
Wie werden die Strukturen geformt? Freihand, oder mit Vorlagen?
