Great comparison. I have the 2188A and I'll admit that the SG is probably a better all round package if you only want one car. The HBX is probably a more 'pure' drift machine due to the locked diffs whereas the SG can be used for normal driving if you're not into drifting all the time. Also I'd advise not running the HBX on gravel since it can get in the exposed gears and lock it up. You can raise the ride height slightly by adjusting the shock mounting position to help a bit.
I can only comment on the SG, as I have the brushless version. It's an awesome little truck. A bit more forgiving on rougher ground than I think the HBX would be. I've tried it off road now, with the rally tyres, and it rips!! Not great on rough ground, but on smooth dirt it's so much fun. Again, I prefer the 1603 to the 1604, as the truck is such an iconic shape. Great comparison video, and no bias towards one or the other. 👍🏻
The HBX has a gyro in it. Not sure if that was mentioned but it can be a help and a bit of a pain in small spaces. Once you get used to throwing it around though, it gets easier to slide around indoors. I added a stack of coins to the rear to help it slide better and it seems to work. The pavement could wear out a set of tires eventually so I'd keep this one indoors if you want it to last. I was able to find a set of spare wheels but they aren't plentiful.

I've just turned my ftx tracer bezgar 6 hybrid all metal on brushed 390 3s lipo all stock electronics too drift truggy it's so mutch fun grandson loves it.
I like the bodies of these cars, I do prefer the way the 144001 can drift and also do other things and nicer mechanics. Body is the real "weak point" of a 144001, if someone could find a painted GT3 body for 144001 he would be an hero. Thank you for the video !

I think i don't like the plastic drift tire , it's too loud noise on the floor and sound like cheapy feeling....any suggestion for same size rubber drift tire?

Best way I've found is compressed air to get loose stuff off then brush with a dry toothbrush for more loose stuff. then hit it with a toothbrush that's in a cup mixed with simple green and water. Then rinse with a water toothbrush then dry with a towel or microfiber
I prefer the SG1603 my local hobby shop has the UDIRC BREAKER which is the same thing it's brushed for £59 , I am really tempted but they also sell the ftx banzai , 1/10 drift car for £114 . I just can't decide !!

The sg probably has to be one of the best in my opinion

Very good point the locked diffs on the HBX help massively. The SG is a very nice all rounder 😎👍

The FTX Banzai is a great drifter for the price, but its ESC gets hot very fast. I will upgrade it to a brushless combo soon.
