Elena Crippa on Paula Rego Tate Britain

Tate Britain offers a unique opportunity to survey the UK’s largest and most comprehensive retrospective of the work of Paula Rego.
The Portugese-born visual artist has produced work since the 1950s that often reflects feminism, coloured by folk-themes from her native Portugal.
The exhibition will feature over 100 of her works, including collage, paintings, ink and pencil drawings and etchings, all exploring the social and personal struggles of the artist’s extraordinary life.
