From a designers perspective it is perfect. Going taller would take away from the gorgeous architecture elements of your home. The placement of the mums and pumpkins lead your guest right up to your door. It’s clean, simple, and elegant. Bravo.
I love the porch, Crystal! The scale of your home and porch would allow for large items like the cornstalks and hay bales if you wanted to add them.
To keep your mums alive longer, water them from the bottom. Set them in a basin of water for 20 to 30 minutes whenever they get dry.😊
Yes, good idea. The hay bales from michaels could be a nice riser. Luv the porch!! The touches of fall colors are so nice!
It’s looking nice but I think you need some decor that is taller or garland around your door. Your home is high and everything is low.
I agree…looks way out of balance with everything being so high. Kind of surprised Crystal didn’t think so herself.

I think if you put stacked pumpkins in tall urn planters would look nice
I just watched another TH-camr do the same with her front porch. It’s worth investing in expensive bigger pieces for the outside of your home. Especially big planters!❤

Looks awesome Crystal! I was coming to the comments to give some advice, but it looks like everyone agrees. You need height at the front door. You will need to get accustomed to decorating bigger since you have a more grand house.Your heielooms need to be elevated, and you should get cornstalks flanking your front door. That's my advice 😊
I am from U.K. and I never used to decorate for the seasons until I found your channel and now my house is bursting with decor and I love it. I miss your old house , it was cosier.🏴🇬🇧
Same here 😂, finally got mums yesterday. I haven't got any pumpkins yet, as I'd worry they would rot before halloween
It looks good but, I would lift the 3 pumpkins by the door higher so u can see them from the road & add fall leaves around your posts in front 🍁🍁🍁🍂🍁🍂
I’ve never seen so many beautiful colours of pumpkins 🎃 before…..they’re so beautiful.
Did you know if you put your mums in a bucket of water for 30 minutes, they stay more hydrated and you water them less!

It looks beautiful. In the past when my kids were younger I used to do more decorating. Now I just can’t bring myself to spend the money. If you do as much as you did it can really add up. No judgment at all. Just a different season of life for me now.
No judgement here either but everything is so expensive! I’m stressing about the economy and spending more money each week on groceries for my family.

Your porch looks nice. You have a very tall doorway you might consider some more height around your door

I think I would add the corn stalks to the post and add a nice wired orange ribbon 🎀 in the center 🎉 it’s looks great either way! You always do such a nice 👍 job! 🎉
Looks good but you need some larger items since your porch is so tall. You can’t see the lanterns because of the big mums in front.
Just my humble opinion...but I'd put the large black planters on the lower step. They are blocking the pretty lanterns.
When people stare at me I just turn towards them, smile and say, "Hi! How are you doing today?" He was probably just admiring you. 😊 I love your porch. Maybe a garland around your door would make it pop.

I love the mums and pumpkins. But you need some hay bales or cornstalks by the front door the pumpkin stacks are too small in scale compared to the door

You should put two hay bales to the left and right of the door and put the pumpkins on them so you can see them better 😍 love it regardless

Generally, I don't have a problem picking out my mums ! In our county, the school colors are Purple & Gold !!! So, with homecoming and our SMHS colors, it is solved for us !! :)
Yes!!!!! Load it up. Lol. FYI viral TikTok going around but already knew about. Get a large bucket or 2 and fill with water and set the mum down the the water for about 20-30 minutes to really soak up all the water it can. Always water from the bottom too. They will last a lot longer. I think something tall on each side of the door would be nice. But all and all it is very nicely done.

I think everything looks fabulous Crystal, great job as usual! I used cornstalks last year n a friend cut them n brought them so it didn’t cost anything, BUT with the wind, bad weather etc. they made such a mess for me that I decided not to do it again and I even had twine n had them tied around posts, plus they blew loose pieces into out pond net n all through the landscaping! I at least tried it so I now I know n u can always do that next yea4 if u want? Lol there are no rules haha! Great video n thank u so much sharing, it’s fabulous! Hi Crystal and Charlie! Great job on the porch, Crystal! Love all the mums and pumpkins! They really pop up against the neutral colors of your porch. I did a little pre-Fall on my porch for now. One of our local nurseries/gift stores have these big mums and I always get one for the front and one for my studio. Have bought some faux pumpkins from TJMaxx that are heavy and very cool looking. They are out now but my front porch flowers are doing so well with all the rain we've beet getting, I'm going to leave them for now. I have a lit Fall tree I'm putting in the porch corner but right now there's a huge fern there that is doing so good, I don't want to move it just yet! I may get a couple of mums for the back deck as I do like to look outside and see some Fall out there before it's replaced by snow! Have a good weekend, friend!

Porch looks adorable! Lucky you with those 50s temps we are still high 80s and 90s here in NC. If I bought real pumpkins they would be soup in a week. I want to... but not yet😂. Speaking of bees dummy me didnt get all the Christmas lights out of my front hedge and it has turned into a jungle really needs a haircut bad! I start pulling out the light strands a wasp nest has been built onto the strand of lights! I'm glad they were sleepy and didnt get me! My son in law has volunteered to tackle the bush and bees for me -WIN WIN 😅 I need him to tackle getting the spring swallow nest down too. I swear they make that thing out of concrete!
Looks so good !!! I’m the same way with mums but I always end up going for the orange, maroon , yellow every year ! Same with pumpkins i have my favorites 4 jack o lantern, stacking , fairy tale , wart pumpkin and a white one 😂 that brown one you got with the warts is called a teddy bear pumpkin I got one last year from the pumpkin patch band they told me ! I love those lanterns they are on my Christmas list this year 😂

I got some gorgeous huge mums at Walmart today.I got a few new fall pillows at Target for $5 and $10and some throws.Your porch looks fantastic.Dont you just love orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My mums last for years.After they are done blooming just cut them down to like 3 or 4 inches.......they come back in the spring!!!Get those kids a couple of ghosts and witches!!!!
