Whenever I hear YOU play this piece, (and no one else!) I am instantly transported back to the incredible week we all shared together in Arcata with Kaska- your interpretation captures all the feelings and memories so well. Every moment, every new friend, every ray of California sun, every wave on the beach, all the energy- it's frozen in time! Thank you, my friend, for this gift, for us to cherish!
Conrado, amazing as always. I love musicians who bring expression and feeling into the playing of this beautiful instrument as well as dazzling virtuosity. Bravo!
+Christos Hatzis , Thank you very much for your kind words. As you know expression and feelings are always the first steps for me, without it there is no music. The fact that you like my playing means a lot for me. Efcharisto polli!
I will be using this for my college admition piece, thank you so much for giving me such a high quality performance to work off of and use. this song really struck a chord with me and I very lucky to have been able to find your rendition of it!!! thank you sir!
+王霁云 Hi! The score was published some time ago by Keyboard Percussion Publications. You can get it, for example, here: www.steveweissmusic.com/product/variations-on-porgy-and-bess-sammut/marimba-solo
He's using Marimba One mallets, Katarzyna Mycka series I think. They're great! But IMO mallets are only one piece of the puzzle to get a good articulation.
They are 100% Katarzyna Mycka series and not double helix! (Kaskas Series uses chamagne yarn + other colors and the Double helix series uses grey yarn + other colors)
@Cara: Yes. And the DHB are a little too light to make this good sound. I think it's 1: KMB3, 2-4: KMB2 Conrado is part of Katarzynas Marimba quartett so that's anothers reason to use her mallets.
Que se puede decir, un artistazo con una delicadeza especial
低音のトレモロの響き、、、余韻があって溶け込まれます
マリンバは軽やかのも重厚なのも素晴らしく良いですね🎵

Thank you very much!
What type of mallets are you using? I'm interested in performing this piece and I love the articulation you're getting.

Nah I'm pretty sure the 2 3 4 mallets are marimba one double relaxes(dbh2) not quite sure about the bass mallet tho

He’s using all KMB series mallets from marimba one. From the bass up, the numbers are 4332.
