30:50 okay I needed to say it bcs what you said was so true and I just noticed it. Actually after everyone started focusing on solo stuff Jinyoung focused on his acting career more that's why he doesn't have much music out yet. Also the thing about the MV, Jinyoung is the only singer in his company ig (BH entertainment, which is full of great actors) so maybe that influenced his MV kinda looking like a musical.

I'm excited for this since I too want to dive deeper into the GOT7 universe. Heck, I somehow stumbled upon Verse2 JJ Project when it first came out, didn't realize they're from this group! Have a listen. This album has been on repeat for me till this day.
Please try listen to JUS2, another subunit from GOT7. Its super good and yet so underrated
Verse 2 is one of my ALL TIME favourite albums.. JayB and Jinyoung are amazing together 🥺

ooh ooh also! jb and yugyeom have a subunit called jus2. their album "focus on me" is mostly r&b with a couple of runway house tracks. it is the smoothest shit i have heard since the 90's. even if you don't do a reaction to that one, i hope you are able to find some time for it because it will spark joy.

"i just love him [JB]" REAL
I'd say 85% of Mark's solo songs are emo sad ones and the LYRICS are just *chef kiss- Like boy, I don't know who hurt you but you really make out some masterpiece lyrics out of it. My personal favorite in Far Away is that 'And I hope that you know that it's where you'll stay' like damnnnnnn, I can actually feel the pain. Concept-wise, he's basically putting concrete distance/lines between them cause she's been disappointing him regardless of the opportunity he gave her and while being apart hurts, he's better off maintaining that distance (as far away as possible)
i'm jb biased (def. biased?), but yugyeom's solo stuff has been my favorite since they left jyp. "i want you around" with devita was his first flipping track after signing with AOMG and it is absolute perfection. only bambam and seulgi's collab can come close. HOWEVER. jb's soundcloud stuff was what got me into got7's music in the first place. i'm not the type of person who will stan an artist whether or not the songs grab me. got7 was geared toward a much younger demographic than me and a lot of the title tracks they were promoting up until 7for7 were kinda typical of other boy groups. the market was saturated with really high energy songs and that was the direction jyp was trying to take them in. but leader jb really resisted that. the first defsoul album made me feel like when i did when i first got into kpop and it felt like something was unlocked in my brain. jb is a very thoughtful and intentional producer. he loves using guitar and mundane sound samples and you hear new elements almost on every listen. there's one song of his, "stopline," where it starts with that dinging sound a car makes when you have the door open with the key in the ignition. then all sorts of car noises like door slamming or seatbelt ratcheting kick in. at certain points, there's a sample of, like, a kissy noise? i dunno. i feel like he hears music in everything. hope he stays safe during his enlistment. his next album "seasonal hiatus" is coming on valentine's day.
Def.'s discography is an absolute GEM. His SoundCloud music is a soup for the soul. He is definitely one of the most unique artists out there. Kinda underrated I might say. And the musicality, genre-tapping, and vocal techniques he's explored until now has always amazed me.
Thanks for the positive reaction for GOT7. They are really good-looking and talented..they wrote their own songs as a GOT7 group. They are the group that always performed live in stages. So proud of them. Each member has unique voices and I find Jinyoung's voice is angelic and wam your heart.. vocal and visual...a versatile artist (singer and as an actor).

In case you’d also be interested in other member’s recent music - id recommend Youngjae’s Sugar and Irreplaceable (he sings in English too), Jay B also has another album under his name “Def.” And for this same album Jinyoung also released a second MV for Letter - its a completely different song AND shot in a single take (he also showcases his acting skills there). The Other Side was such a good album! I got to go to his show and it was even better live! Really got in my feelings with all the other people there I ended up hugging with like 4 people I didn’t even know in the crowd because we were all lowkey emotional 😂😂😂 it was an amazing experience! I still talk to those girls i met at the show lol

Caitlin, I don't know if you read many comments or not. GOT7, being my ult group, makes me so happy to see them doing so well. You mentioned that JB does R&B. He does because he has that sultry voice but he has done peppy before just not as much. Mark likes the hurting and sad type and does it well of course. Yugyeom, well you never know what he's going to do next. Jinyoung is coming out of his shell. You said it seem like a musical or something like that. It fits because he is an actor. I can't wait to see what you think of the other three. Youngjae is doing really with his ARS writing too and his English is so good. He worked hard. BamBam is doing shows and fan meetings all over. Jackson, he's just a hard-working genius.
I really hope you will do an album listen to both JayB's Be Yourself and Yugyeom's Point Of View: U.. Two of my favourite albums by the members, but I like their style of music the most.. I really thin you will LOVE both albums 💚💚 BTW JayB is the member with most music under his belt, so there's a LOT to check out 😉 Also the guy who collabed with Yugyeom in Ponytail is Sik-K, he also collabed with JayB on Be Yourself and the song Break It Down..
JayB enlisted on February 2nd and Jinyoung will probably enlist next month so that's some of the members that wont release something in a while, even though JayB will have a seasonal hiatus thingy with 3 songs on it released on the 15th 😱
With Jinyoung releasing his album, all members have released an album and they're all SOO GOOD, and different.. GOT7 members are seriously so talented, no one have released a bad song, and there's something for everyone to enjoy 😊
BTW to be totally of topic, I hope you can react to more A.C.E.. I can recommend their song Higher and also the b-sides Golden Goose and Slow Dive.. Also please check out their Covers, they have so many and they're so amazing.. The two oldest members Donghun and WOW will come back from enlistment in June, so it will be a good time for more A.C.E.. Of course only if you can find the time in your booked schedule 😉🥰

I love all of them. Have you listened to Youngjae's albums? It's definitely worth it. Also he did a cover of Christopher's Bad which was freaking amazing. Everyone's solo music is so different from one another but yet it pleases every part of my music genres.

Hiii, Caitlin! I've been watching your videos for some time now and I'm really enjoying them. Your energy and reactions are contagious and you seem like such a bright person, I just wanna be friends with you. I know this is not a comment about GOT7 so I hope I don't offend GOT7's fans or you, it's really not my intention. I also know you're not as active nowadays and you don't really take recommendations, but I've been wanting you to check out someone for some time now and here I am, shooting my shot lol.
Since I saw you enjoyed both Mamamoo's dingo killing voice (the broken fan lol) and Taeyeon's, I really would like to recommend to you IU's dingo killing voice. And IU in general. I know you say you have a lot of groups you stan and a lot of content to watch, but I would really love if you would check her out casual. I don't know if you heard of her or you're familiar with her, but she's been in the industry for a really long time now and she's such a respected artist that many idols say she's their inspiration for wanting to be an idol. She's also such a sweet and kind person and it really reflects in her music. I think you would love her voice and her songs, especially her lyrics. They're like poetry. She's a great singer songwriter. (Also this comment would be embarrassing if you already know her and I'm just here praising her like hell)
