Last August (2019) we decided to walk the Fighting Creek Nature Trail. It was a beautiful and sunny afternoon and our walk was uneventful until we came upon the John Ownby cabin. There was something either in or around that cabin, and on our walk back to the visitors center I kept feeling like we were being followed, though I never saw anyone or anything. Interesting video. May have to venture out there to that cabin again this summer. Or maybe I want.
And this gorgeous cabin in the Smokeys, is what caught my attention & made me subscribe! I wish more content creators would take a few notes from your easy going, laid back style. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Cabins like this do not need to be renovated! Let it sit thier and fall apart! If the mayor down thier decideds to renovate it and bring it back to life its gonna piss off the ghosts thier as they feel like u are ruining thier home/resting place.

I have been watching you channel for the last couple of years. Not just yours but a whole lot of exploring channels. Some channels with a lot of followers. I am amazed that most of you are not prepared for you exploration. At the least, no matter how hot, you should have on long pants to avoid ticks and brush burns. You should have boots of some kind. Finally, you should always be carrying a side arm. I know it's none of my business but I really love your channel and want you to be safe.
What else should one have on? Could you elaborate please?

You should so explore pickett's mill in dallas ga... It is a historic site the best stuff is not open to the public... I got to explore there when I stayed with my sis and bro in law for a year

2:41 you see a spirit standing past your friend. If you look at his camera it’s to the right.as your walking to the cabin there are a few spirits I see. As your walking around cabin and inside it look around you can see black shadow figures all around. One photo I took has a very clear face. When you first walk in cabin your camera is facing towards the other door to the woods. Nothing there, you pan to the fireplace and go back to the door and you see a black shadow coming out of the woods. Look through window another one there. 7:20 when your friend is in door way. Take a picture, you see 4 black shadows in woods. 14:33 there is a black figure in the bushes with its arms stretched out. When your looking for see who is talking. 15:10 camera is blurry, supposedly that means a spirit is there. 15:34 look at cornet if window. Enlarge it and you can see small faces bunched together. 20:00 straight ahead in the bushes. You see it’s upper body and head.20:14 the tree in center for screen halfway up you can see something peeking out from behind the tree it’s full body. Very active place. They are not shy, very curious.
They need to do some upkeep on those old places take care of them for the children sakes

Very kewl. Luckily he is probably tuned into how cameras and stuff work but helps to delegate where to talk. The focus loss areas is rite where I would be if I where the spirit. Thanks for the vid.

Fill in all those holes. Lay out some strong wood over those rafters. A bathroom. Can figure out how to over a fire. Make a small staircase. I might be ok. Plenty of water and food, books, writing materials. Might be a good place to camp couple days. Cheryl54
I could live there permanently with very minimal!! My grandparents had an outhouse with only plumbing in the kitchen the last few years. We still have a cabin in the hills with no plumbing and an awesome outhouse. 1 neighbor within 150 acres of woods and 5 miles down a dirt road. Hate leaving it.

Can you point me in the direction of where to find out more about the haunting history of the cabin? Or share some of the tales you've heard? I can't find much about it's haunting online, just the national park stuff.
