He has been one of my absolute favorite male vocalists from the moment I watched him perform Frozen, but there is no denying that his voice, artistry and overall charisma has evolved over the years. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with and the best male vocalist I have ever heard (I know many may not agree with me on this but I love dark and haunting songs more than any other and Sheldon epitomizes the dark and haunting.)
He did a great job there too sadly didn't get the tele votes though .. hope his career is strong over there in Australia as he really does deserve success

I swear I didn't hear Sheldon singing flat in the 2nd phase like Kelly & Guy did. His voice & style are iconic! Sheldon, continue to be you & love who you are. Never feel you need to hide. Honestly I don’t think it’s necessarily “flat” so much as lacking the passion he generally sings with!! It was honestly the least favorite of the songs he’s sung and I have binged everything I could find of him!!

I agree with you 100%. I hate how every male artist thinks they need to hit a falsetto. It's not needed. This is pure voice. Pure tone. Pure talent. He knows his voice. He knows how to make it sound the best it can. And he won't ruin his voice trying to sing in a range he shouldn't.

I feel that Sheldon's standard is much higher than the show. After 2 seasons, I'm sure everyone can see how his performances are so extravagant and amazing that you forgot that this was a competition. You would feel that this is a performance in the Grammys or EMAs or VMAs or well, this is top notch. I love how Delta made his last performance bigger than ever. His performance is definitely awesome to watch. I love how George still backs him up and after listening so many auditions, he could tell Sheldon's voice the moment he started.
Delta ruined him in the end. Very, very poor last two song choices. He would have one, if he had chosen and arranged his own songs. No one could have done better that him on the performances, but they were definitely not the right choices.
Sheldon definitely was the standout for me. I love his costumes and theatrical stage sets. I would pay good money for his album and to see him live in concert. In my honest opinion, he should have won for me. There's more to him than he is showing, but who shows everything when it's hidden behind hurt, and pain. There's a HUGE story there. He will forever be my favorite
I loved everything about this guy. I would pay a million dollars to see him live. His costumes were just Oscar material for best outfits. He has artistry that's out of this world. Amazing, wonderful, magical in every way.
I think it's because he wasn't versatile. He was always in grand over the top production type songs. Wish he would have picked Guy as his mentor. Guy loved him but I think he also was more realistic about his talent.
The show isn't for thid remarkable kid. It devalued his essence IMHO. By not moving forward it stumped his career image when he shouldn't have ever been there in the 1st place. It'd be nice if Akon & Gaga pick this kid up.

Sheldons voice is steady, like when he’s singing a long and high note it doesn’t goo like oOoooOooooOOOO it goes like OOOOOOOOO and that takes a lot of talent
@Chitwah it does though. Being able to hold a note steady, or adding in (or removing) vibrato at different places, changing the speed of the vibrato....that shows control. If a singer always has the same vibrato it's usually because they can't control their voice well enough to do it differently.

The fan blowing that long cape ----- EPIC!!! It is the most TOTALLY EPIC performance of any of the talent shows on TV. IN ANY YEAR, TOO!!! It was great!!!. And totally fitting to the performer, the song, the whole situation. I loved Sheldon from start to finish. It was his talent that sealed the deal and made it so very memorable! With Sheldon you got a fashion show, great acting as well as top notch singing!!! Hard to beat that! And none of them did, to tell the truth!
Every time i look at Sheldon, i can feel his weakness, his emotions behind the mask and i feel the story of the song, story of Sheldon himself. Sheldon is not just a singer, hes a performer, storyteller, an artist !

Tbh that happens A LOT in the industry. It may not be because someone was “better” than him. They play people and lead them on and what not. It’s horrible. Im not talking about music industry itself right now, im talking about these shows and they make “clout” off of people. But this has happened to tons of people. But who knows.
The American version (and the knock offs) are *far* worse about this. They even praise someone for their "unique style" but then give them a makeover for their "new pop star presence" That's also why I think it's kind of funny/off that so many people are justifying the criticism that his looks "are going to get old" because the show is supposed to be about "the voice" because the one that airs in my country is very obviously *not* - there have been times where blind auditions got full chair turns and then suddenly none of the judges were trying to convince the person to be on their team. 😑
He's a real Fashionista and has an INCREDIBLE voice. Like Delta said "I feel like there's a part of me that can learn from Sheldon, there's a part of Sheldon that can learn from me". We learn from each other and that's what makes the difference.
He isn't flat!!! He is a brilliant authentic artist! Hes' voice is strong and deep, hes personality is interesting. Moreover, I think, he is not enough flat to be loved by all. Everybody rule the world - is a good song for him, but with this pressure, he more need a support, believing in him. I´m pretty sure Freddie would have loved this performance. This boy reminds me so much of Adam Lambert - some contestants are simply larger than life, and certainly larger than any talent show. I will keep my eyes on Sheldon, he´s fantastic :)

@Chitwah it does though. Being able to hold a note steady, or adding in (or removing) vibrato at different places, changing the speed of the vibrato....that shows control.
If a singer always has the same vibrato it's usually because they can't control their voice well enough to do it differently.
Yes, lack of timbre or vibrato in his voice, whenever he sing it just make me say wow good but can not touch my heart or give goosebumps

Everytime I hear Sheldon sing I get goosebumps that don't go away until after the song is finished. It's like hes voice is a conductor. So unbelievably beautiful and emotive

Tbh that happens A LOT in the industry. It may not be because someone was “better” than him. They play people and lead them on and what not. It’s horrible. Im not talking about music industry itself right now, im talking about these shows and they make “clout” off of people. But this has happened to tons of people. But who knows.
The American version (and the knock offs) are *far* worse about this. They even praise someone for their "unique style" but then give them a makeover for their "new pop star presence"
That's also why I think it's kind of funny/off that so many people are justifying the criticism that his looks "are going to get old" because the show is supposed to be about "the voice" because the one that airs in my country is very obviously *not* - there have been times where blind auditions got full chair turns and then suddenly none of the judges were trying to convince the person to be on their team. 😑

He isn't flat!!! He is a brilliant authentic artist! Hes' voice is strong and deep, hes personality is interesting. Moreover, I think, he is not enough flat to be loved by all.
Everybody rule the world - is a good song for him, but with this pressure, he more need a support, believing in him. He is not a format, he is alternative, he need to go deeper, because he really want and could go there. Maybe, he need a time, but he should go there. He is harder, then a 90% of contemporary pop music)

I´m pretty sure Freddie would have loved this performance. This boy reminds me so much of Adam Lambert - some contestants are simply larger than life, and certainly larger than any talent show. I will keep my eyes on Sheldon, he´s fantastic :)
