So important to capture these "stories" so that we don't become too complacent about the effects of disasters on real people - often being in the wrong place at the wrong time OR being in the right place at the right time is all the difference there is. And it isn't over just because the buildings have stopped falling, or the floods recede etc. That is really just the START of dealing with it, especially on the human level, let alone the infrastructure and houses that we are still dealing with.
