8 Forgotten Cars from early Need for Speed games (NFS 2 and NFS 3)

- The early Need for Speed games featured not only well known cars from major brands but also some very rare and exotic supercars that almost no other racing games have ever included. Here you can see 8 different cars from NFS 2 and NFS 3 that have been forgotten by the video game industry and that have not been included in any major racing games for the past 15 or more years. For each car I am showing the ingame showcase and photo gallery and then some gameplay with the car on a track.

The Italdesign Calà (also known as Lamborghini Calà) is a concept car and NFS 2 is the only racing game to ever officially feature it, although some other video games include fictional cars that are based on it.
The Ford GT90 was featured in NFS 2, Gran Turismo 2 and PGR 3, along with a bunch of minor racing games. The Ford Indigo was also featured in NFS 2 and PGR 3. The Mustang Mach III is exclusive to NFS 2 in terms of games that are notable.
The Isdera Commendatore 112i is completely exclusive to Need for Speed 2. The Italdesign Nazca C2 (also known as BMW Nazca C2) was featured in NFS 2 and in the PS1 version of NFS 3.
The Jaguar XJR-15 was included in Need for Speed 3 and Gran Turismo 2. The Italdesign Scighera (also known as Alfa Romeo Scighera) is exclusive to the PC version of NFS 3.
It's very surprising that these interesting supercars have not been included in more racing games, especially in case of the ones from Ford and Jaguar, since many other cars from those brands are included in Forza games for example (and from Ford even a lot of obscure ones).

Even after all these years, I still love the car lineup from NFS 2. Truly the most unique cast of cars in any racing game.

These cars where and are the definition of elegance and modern to me even to this day
All of these cars were so underrated, irl. I think, without the games, they probably would have remained completely hidden gems.
Kudos to the developers at EA, who decided to put them into NfSII & III. I truly miss that spirit for exotics & prototypes in modern NfS-games.
When you see one of these cars, you instantly feel respect to it. It's amazing.

I remember the Ford GT90 was my favorite car in Ford Racing 3 game. This car is lit. Sadly this model was only a prototype. Anyway, nice video Gleiber! :D

I've been Always remembering the menu themes from these games, some of these where patched into NFS 2015!
The Ford GT90 should and could come out today - its such a good looker!
All of these would be amazing to see in a modern video game again... for now I think our best hope for these cars coming back to a Need for Speed game would be hoping they get modded into the community-run NFS World with high quality models.
Now that u mentioned it, I made replicas of some of these concept cars on Gran Turismo Sport. For example I used the Aston Martin DP-100 as the basis for the Ford GT90 due to its similar curved and round body shape but also because it looks somewhat like the GT90. So I added more details to it so that it resembles the GT90.

In Gran Turismo Sport, such as in 2019 I would create replicas. For example I used a Aston Martin DP-100 due to its rounded and almost identical length and body shape to the Ford GT90. Though when I looked at the front of car it bears resemblance of a Ford GT90. So I chose this model and decided to try to give as much detail as possible to make it further look like the GT90. I did it because it’s just like you’ve shown by this video, these are forgotten concept cars or obscure cars no longer shown today in racing games. I wanted these cars to be shown once more and to be remembered.
I actually loved all these cars, I’ve known much of these old cars or concept cars because of my brother. He shown me stuff he grew with up in the 90s and his favorite super car is the Lamborghini Diablo SV and that car is my favorite too :)
isdera 112i was always my favouritte.

Yep. There is a website called IGCD where you can look up all the games for each car. That's what I use.
@@Paragleiber I love that website, the new IGCD is terrible, not much flexibility than the previous version to search for specific cars in a database.
