@Cray Fishe Bold statement, you got much experiance with foxes? Wildlife aid has been around for close to 40 years, I think they know what they're doing. 9.99 times out of 10 there's no problem introducing animals this young to each other like they did the first time, this just happened to be the one time in a thousand it didn't go well. Lucy said it; she's never seen a vixen this little and vicious, they could not have known this one was, like you put it a "psychotic bitch" (nice statement by the way, makes you look like a really intelligent person). Either way, even the most experianced handlers can get caught of guard like they were so to suggest they put the male in danger for views is bullshit. And if you don't like the channel why don't you fuck off and open your own wildlife rescue, see how well you would do it.
@Cray Fishe Up until it began shaking the other cub it initially did seem far less violent, more like how you'd see siblings raised together scrapping. I agree that the first time was a botched attempt but I think the age of the foxes plays a huge role in the feasibility of such a thing. I honestly do not believe they see enough benefit from the channel to actually pit two foxes against eachother for views, which respectfully is what you're suggesting.
That's cause they're babies. I think the female was younger than the male, because she didn't have a white tip on her tail, but later she does. When she attacks another go-pro. She really hated go-pros. I think she attacked 3. On one, you can see her feet flailing like mad in the air.
"A little rough and tumble is normal, they've got to figure out who the boss is among them" _The girl latched onto the boy's ear and made him beg for mercy their first meeting_ I think they DAMNED well know who is in charge XD
@Cray Fishe Considering that among most animal species, that the males tend to be violent, antisocial rapists, it kinda makes your observation trivial.
Well yeh I guess they did leave it in for awhile but it's because the fox might let go and it will be good again but yeah I think they did leave the little fox in for to long
No im not a vet but i do study to become one im not exactly Positive on this that this is the reason they left it in there for awhile but if you would like a %100 correct answer just say so and ill study it for you
+fubukifangirl fighting with each other is usually part of development. It's part of their instinct, so that they can have some sort of experience when hunting and fighting with other animals. Thats why a lot of other animals like to play fight with each other.
They are babies. Like she said, "Rough & Tumble is common." What happened at the first meeting was not. But, boy, she sure taught him who's the boss. LOL
I don't think to much harm was done tbh but let's not pretend this is the proper way to introduce two unfamiliar animals (wild or domestic). These people do so much good for animals, it's ok that they make mistakes sometimes, but it definitely was a mistake putting them together in a tiny box like that. (literally just google 'how to introduce animals to each other' and you will see this reaction could be seen from a mile coming)
I really love what you do and I hope one day I can work there I just love helping animals especially foxes I love foxes sad thing is I've never seen one in real life that's why I want to work there so I can see all these kinds of animals wall helping them at the same time. love what you do will donate if I can
Adorable, simply adorable! You folks have done so much good in showing wild animals up close, to dispel fear and give understanding. This is so beneficial to all. Thank you!
Yeah, they kind of let it go on for a little bit because that's how they decide which one is dominant. But she quickly stepped in when it started getting really violent.
Well to be fair that female was stuffed in a carrier and driven who knows how far, then the moment she's out, she's in a strange place with strange smells and another animal she's never met that smells like the strange new place. Instinct tells her she has to establish dominance immediately or else be at risk. So it's not totally shocking. Once she got used to a new space and the smell of the other cub they were fine.
normally it goes well if you introduce them like that? How interesting! With cats and dogs and lots of rodents you usually have to keep them in separate spots then switch their spots for a few days (so they get used to each others scent) and then you can gently introduce them. Fascinating that it just goes well with (almost all) fox cubs to put them together straight away! You learn something new every day :)
I had some similar issues with my two kits. Their issues seemed to stem from their age gap, which when one of them was one week old and the other was three weeks old, that was a large developmental difference. Once the younger one got to the point that he was more mobile, they had one dominance fight and were good after that.
I have foxes at my school who comes out when we are in class and wouldstare at us. Actually a lady came to my school with all types of animals and she brought in a baby fox and we got to hold her and play with her
Well jeez I'm not surprised she responded that way, neither has seen another fox, only humans, and you put them in a tiny enclosed area where neither could run or hide! Poor little guy, did she have him by the skin on his _face_? Glad they're okay now, they're so cute. Have they been able to be reintroduced to the wild?
+Wildlife Aid really wow hope there all right do you think they'll stick together or split up I hope there ok right now also how old were they when you released them
the little guy was all drowsy nestled in his towl and the little girl was all hyped up from the trip and then they get thrown together. that style of introduction was somewhat of a shocker. I'd think that all animals should get introduced more mildly.
foxes are solitary animals, unlike wolves and dogs obviously, so it is stupid to introduce foxes that are not siblings and expect them to get along. even siblings will fight for food and such, albeit most often amicably. 2 baby foxes in the same space it is obvious will result in competition and territorial dispute for dominance. in the wild foxes dont live in couples, they only seek each other in mating season when in heat, then the male part ways as soon as he´s finished impregnating the female pretty much
@@MakinMcMakin how do you know the people rescuing those animals are vets, biologists of animal experts. seems to me they are just passionate animal lovers devoting their time and resources to help animals in need, and for that they deserve the utmost respect from all of us
