When I studied abroad in Prague a few years ago I met a bunch of Queens commerce kids who lived in my dorm! They were all so kind and smart. I go to Umich in the states so it was nice to have some English speaking friends 😂

Loved this video💘💘 I’m currently in gr11 but they put so much pressure and stress on school (which would be a good asmr video like affirming you with school stress) I just feel overwhelmed in choosing where to go , getting the best grades etc but I know it’ll all workout just finding yourself and what you wanna do can be a challenge
i find it strange as someone from the uk how you seem to have to beg for a place and write these essays with sob stories and stuff about your personal life when we just have a standard application process which is fair and impersonal to everyone, it seems like a totally different experience to university in the uk/europe!
Here in Canada it depends on the programme and uni! The commerce programme at Queen's is pretty competitive so it has a more selective application process. My uni (University of Toronto) has an Oxbridge-like college system and certain more selective colleges may also require a personal essay or other supplementary writing as part of the application. But plenty of well-regarded, regluar arts and science programmes at Canadian unis don't require a personal essay and just look at relevant high school grades. :)
