I learnt how in STEM activity of baking pretzel, children can recall the story of Water the Baker which connect to literacy skills and they can learn science skills of observation, prediction, infer, experimenting and communication during the process. I also learnt how educators should avoid asking open ended question while the children are involved and concentrating in the activities but ask them while their attention is off from the activity or after the activity. Thank you for the helpful video.

I also learnt how open ended question during the STEM activity can foster children's critical thinking skill and problem solving skill

I also learnt when children are asked to share their ideas, they are learning to consider, predict, problem solve and evaluate their own assumption. I didn't realise how communication part of science played part in fostering such skills. but "problem solve" is a concept still tricky for me to grasp as it seems something more complex process then skills such as consider and predict. Should I consider it as what you do after consider and predict?
