Seu Jorge started in a band called "Farofa Carioca". When the band broke up, he went into a depression, and there are reports that he even lived on the streets for some time. Knowing this, a friend asked him to stay in his studio for a while. this "friend" was Marcelo D2 (Rapper and founder of the rap-rock band called PLANET HEMP. I even recommend doing a react of their music sometime). Anyway, his jorge stayed for a while at D2's house, and started going on tours with planet hemp in Brazil and in the world, even opening shows of the same and for other artists. And that was how he even starred in Cidade de Deus, and recorded his first studio album.
