I dropped my Coldstar + Crisis selection to instead include 2 of these with Devilfish and 2 Fireblades, giving 1 Fireblade exemplar and the other Puretide engram (so both can combat embark when needed) My highlight of 10th so far was the exemplar unit destroying a land raider (that didn't quite make it to an objective) and the other unit destroyed the Terminators inside
You had mentioned Darkstrider helping the Breachers out, and... I don't really see how Darkstrider buffs them in any meaningful way? I'm going to assume instead assume you meant to say "Cadre Fireblade", since that character could actually be attached to Breachers, and give them that extra shot per gun.
I just had my first game of 10th today. And I got to experience how nasty this unit is ! They evaporated one of my Chaos Space marine legionare units right at the start of the game. I had no choice but devote resources to kill this unit before it did more damage!
Hmm idk about in 10th the aura but breachers are solid im turn 3 and up i use them as deep strike keeping them in reserve until 3rd round and using a devil fish for a fallback strat, also you can drop them deeper behind the enemy line in turn 4 , but in 3rd round you get Monki active running a cadre you on 6's get 2 extra dice on 6 & yes observing for them increases ballistic skill
