It's nice to hear that he can be a cross-over artist as well. I love his classical stuff but this is also great, I like how it's in a sligtly higher key than he'd usually sing in. Shows he can do baritone and tenor. Very talented! :)
Sometimes artists "Crossing over" don't work, I'm thinking of a few opera singers who do populist music and sing it rather than "Feel it". Aled has proved that, with the right song it can be done very well. Lovely treatment Aled.
I first saw this video on ClassicFM's TV channel, but never caught the beginning to get the name of the song and artist. Drove me batty looking for it until I caught the video again today. lol
Yeah he does, I saw an interview with him recently, he has a daughter who played young Fiona in Shrek the musical, and a son who is a bit younger, maybe 6 or 7.
If ever - you want to replicate Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth again. Aled. I'm happy enough to oblige to do so!. In the meantime, you've got quite a chip off the old block. Your son's a credit to you.
Only problem I have with Aled's version is that he sings the son's verses in the same voice as the father's. That's not the way it should be, imo. You have to intensify the son's verses!
This particular song has been covered by many artists over the years and this version by Aled is just beautiful.
very soulful singing and very clear words....
I love you❤ Aled 😊
God bless you😇❤
Still my favourite cover of this song.
its too amazing i wish i could sing like this man!!!!!

Love your singing 😍😘💕
Geiler Song trifft geile Stimme.
Love listening to Aled Jones. Wonderful voice.
Linda Sage well underated singer. His voice cuts all genres. That walking in the air song is one of the biggest songs of all time.
I Love This Song!! Thank You
Brill... Bloody Brill... Go Aled...

👍
Does he have a son?
@AurynThePaladin AND Piers Morgan!!!
And to the dude who said Aled's version is better than Cat's: NOPE! Not even close. (And I say this as someone who admires Aled.)

HereticThreads
Good voice but lacks the feeling of cat...not even close.
He looks like the bird lady from Home Alone lost in new york HAHAHA (That doesn't mean I don't like him)
Awful words - so gauche! Sounds as if it has been written by a ten-year-old!
