He is using a Peterson Field Guide in the second part of this video. I personally have used Peterson FGs that cover several subjects (reptiles, trees, birds etc.) and they have never let me down or left me confused. Peterson guides are descriptive, having all the basic info and goes into deeper info as well. Peterson is a widely trusted and recommended book. Peterson is probably the standard across many subjects. I hope that helps. I would also suggest getting a 'pocket guide' and carry it in your pack, pocket or whatever and take it with you every time you go on a hike whether that be a day hike or just a lazy stroll around the block or take it with you on a trip to the doctor or anywhere you may find yourself waiting with time to kill and you can even look out the window a lot of times and use the pocket guide to reference any trees you see. But yeah, to answer your question simply I would say Peterson Field Guide(covering whatever area of the country you live in i.e. eastern, north east etc.)

The feed a fish parable needs to be applied to rich folks and corporations as well, other wise companies won't make a profit and live off the government.

Its humbling when you learn that you have been IDing a tree wrong for years. Not sure if that was what you meant by your comment but I've been watching tree id videos and I guess I was a little crooked because I too got set straight 😅
