the mass and momentum, it's a self replicating multi-density point sine-cosine function which produces more sine-cosines, more timespace and more universes. It increases probabilistic density exponentially, through the compression of entropy. When you compress entropy exponentially, it folds against itself, and crates universes. that;s my theory.

@@icannotcomeupwithanything4609 Alexander Unzicker is a physicist and author (the higgs fake, bankrupting physics, Einstein's lost key, etc.. )and on the above mentioned channel you can find interesting and controversial conversations on topics like astronomy, cosmology, particle and quantum physics, etc.. Wolfgang Kundt is an astrophysicist and did extensive research on active galactic nuclei and astrophysical jets.. wiki quote: In his publications since 1978, Kundt has increasingly expressed doubts about the existence of black holes. They are a scientific error. If they existed, they would have swallowed us long ago, he claims. Rather, he believes that the cores of large galaxies are hydrogen-rich, nuclear-burning plasma disks. He calls them Burning Discs (BD).
i think there are a few rather huge anomalies in astronomy today and the popular science communicators love to tell stories, black holes in an expanding universe magically started with the big bang, needing dark matter to explain the rotation of galaxies such as our own, the concept that is a SMBH was theorized to be a gravitational phenomena yet now we found a way to map magnetic fields they are claimed to be very weak. this is done through a technique of polarized light and is most likely only a glimpse of the real magnetic fields which are hard if not impossible to fully detect. the so called crisis in cosmology is talked about more and more these days but always presented as specific problems while its actually much more severe and fundamental.. anyhow thats my honest opinion based on the work of many researchers considered to be ignored by academia such as above mentioned people and Halton Arp, Eric Lerner, P M Robitaille, Eugene Bagashov, Anthony Peratt Hannes Alfvén and the mainstream accepted models.. (no i'm not an electric universe advocate, that would be the easy way of dismissing and ignoring what i wrote here, i know :p) cheers

Dr Becky, your enthusiastic sharing of these concepts, and sometimes wonderfully explosive excitement in relaying to us the news of the moment, is just enchanting. I apologize if that sounds a bit naff, but there it is. People who talk science and space rarely make any of it sounds as appealing and understandable as you do, I suppose because they are rarely as normal and down-to-earth as you....Also I love the outro's, todays esp....just gorgeous, doctor...

One equation I learned and never forgot was M=rv2/G. It still blows my mind that with this elegant little equation I can weigh the Sun. Or the Earth. Or pretty much anything in the entire Universe!

The enthusiasm you show for your chosen subject is I think a lesson to up-and=coming students about how to approach what they choose to do. So many express ambition and aspiration to be something (probably to have their name etched into historical records) but alongside that is apparent uncertainty about which subject to which I can only say, pick the one that absolutely grabs you and go for it.
A final note: I'm hoping beyond hope that Betelgeuse goes before I do.

Likes and commented early to push your video up the ranks. It’s entering winter here in Australia so summer is on its way for you. Oh I use Star Walk as my iPad sky mapping program. I’ve had it for maybe 10 years. It’s the only way to find Saturn reliably for me and is dead set necessary for me to sort of see mercury.

Dr. Becky, may I suggest you making a video about the mechanism of a supernova explosion, touching maybe the revival of the shock wave by neutrinos. Also about where we are in supernova simulations, are we succeeding actually making the start explode in the simulation? I know all this is complicated, but you have this talent of making complicated things accessible for the rest of us. I just discovered your channel and subscribed immediately. Thanks for what you're doing, it's wonderful.

Dear Dr. Becky i just discovered this and i relay like your way of explanation. Im working on a different way of asolution how to explain a Galaxy. A mayor key is how creativity works . I just working on this idea to set new order pattern . On my think pattern the order a galaxy is build up is cyclical and is the key for understanding. But is still complex and i try to get it in order and write it down. So hopefully i can set it online in few weeks. . Best Chris

I would love to see a current explanation of Kerr type (spinning) black holes. The hypothesis that it has a ringularity (ring with zero thicknesss but non-zero radius) that could possibly be transversed and serve as a wormhole entrance has fascinated me for decades.
I came for the memes and Expanse reaction but I subscribed for the serious science. Keep it up Dr Becky!
p.s. The parentheses are for the amateur black hole fans. I know I don’t need to physicsplain to Dr. B

I read in the Time Life Series, Mysteries of the Unknown, mid-90s, that quasars might be the other side of a black hole separated by a worm-hole. The light was all the mass sucked into the black hole escaping (iow, black holes literally poop rainbows). The force of the gravity and amount and speed of the matter entering it caused the wormhole. It seems reality is simpler but less fun.

I’ve been watching other videos on TH-cam about Motion Amplification. They take a high resolution video of machinery in operation and run it through a computer algorithm that amplifies any small change in the pixels by 5, 10, 100 times, whatever you need. The result is you can see vibrations and oscillations in equipment and structures. You can spot problems before they become breakdowns, or worse.
It seems to me this would be perfect for astronomy! It could help detect small changes or patterns of movement or even changes in color. Maybe even help visualize some of that raw data. Just a thought.

I can never figure out why the early universe didn't form a black hole pretty much straight away. I asked my physics teacher at high school some thirty five years ago, and he had no idea.

    • @michaelsommers2356

The simple answer is that the universe was expanding so quickly that a black hole could not form. See

I like the idea of black holes being the recycling centers of the universe that create new universes. Black holes are my favorite thing in space because they're so freaking weird lol. Plus, they're fun for the imagination. Love the idea that our big bang happened from an ultra massive black hole in another universe eating a galaxy bigger than the largest known galaxy in our universe. The time and reality distortion always makes me wonder if what takes trillions of years in one universe is happening in the time of a big bang in a new universe.
