Just saying, if they could do a "season pass" addition to season tickets once the new trains are built for Duluth and other places theyd see an increase in ticket sales. I'd immediately pick up season tix. Theres lots of potential if they get creative, esp if it expands to Iowa and the Dakotas.
Winning puts fans in the seats, might not be a quick return but i can guarantee you put a team in a few alcs and a world series and you will put more butts in the seats. Spend some money to put a more playoff contending team together and the fans will follow !
If the Orioles sold for 1.7 billion there is no way the Twins will sell for close to that. If the Pohlad’s are waiting for that kind of buyout they are going to be waiting for a long long time to sell the team.
The Twins put a pretty competative team together even when counting pennies so is MLB afraid that if they get owners who are willing to spend then they will dominate? I suppose it will make other teams angry if the Twins are able to pay their stars and also be in the conversation for top free agents which we have never been able to do. Are they never allowed to be that good?
Asking me as a sports fan to make a viewing deal with every sports team is a no-win situation. I just can’t justify paying extra for every sporting event. I have you tube tv and having to set up a stream for what I would like to watch is something I refuse to do. I had Bally sports north last year, but when I wanted to cancel had to jump through hoops to get that done. So now I watch only when fox carries the games.
I wouldn't expect this new potential owner, given the line of business their in and how they make their money, to be a free spender like Steve Cohen. I would expect them to be the opposite. Do ya'll know how these private equity firms make their mountains of money? Its absolutely not through reckless spending on their people resources of assets they acquire.
That old boys club will be the reason baseball died. We need fresh owners who wanna be competitive. That is definitely not a bad thing in our book. Hoping they buy the team even more now.
Not a chance, there's not enough money in baseball. We spent more money than ever in 2023, and fans didn't show up until the playoffs. We have one of the shittiest, most bandwagonny fanbases in the entire league, and our support is so transactional, that I don't think we could have ownership like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think we deserve it just because we pout and make a big stink about it. Maybe a change of ownership could change that, but I'm skeptical.
The Suns are the best they’ve been in 15 years now that the Ishbias own the team. They bought the team and instantly made moves to make them a contender. They have successfully found TV broadcasters after losing Ballys. They’re cutting concession costs. What on earth have they done that isn’t good, other than they haven’t won a title yet?
We need an owner who is an actual fan of baseball, not just a billionaire
They are fans of baseball. I believe specifically its Justin who loves it.
I would be undefeated in random twin of the week. Dead serious.
Merry Christmas
hell of an indsider scoop Declan, my little brother also told me it would be cool to buy the twins
That’s not what the scoop was. The scoop is that there are groups looking for limited partners. That’s a massive insight.

2:06 you didn't immediately ask "what the hell do you have to do with the twins much less the purchase of the twins?!?!?!"

This is the best news in the business.
After clue #2 about being picked off 2nd base twice in a season. I thought for sure Eddie Rosario. It seems like it would happen to him.😅

If they are scared that someone rich will buy a team and spend money on players, institute a salary cap.
The player’s union would never allow it.
@ then why can’t someone spend a lot of money on their team?
Buy em fix em ur in a easy AL central almost every year you can win it damn near every year if you build the right way and pay the right people

so your telling me mlb is screwed up there telling twins fans they wont allow a owner because they dont want spend then fix baseball
You cannot be in the Midwest if you’re in the Eastern Time Zone

Guaranteed $
Deferred $

Why are people so excited about this possibility 🤣🤣 you see how the Ishbias are doing with owning another sports team?! No way the twins want that.
Because these owners would spend money in a league where the only way you win is to spend money.
@ bro hasnt seen the suns the past few seasons. pray for a different owner who is willing to spend. The ishbias are bad news.
Who would that owner be?
@@polishsensation5823 not the ishbias
