    That chorus has one hell of a hook to it. Love this sound.

    Thank You for the footage! Lets Active was the first band i ever saw in a club, raleigh 1986.....i saw them this tour too and i remember being mad that i just started a job that i would have to be up at 5am the next day after the show. ... Ha, i quit that job a few days later and kicked myself for years for leaving the show early to be 'responsible' an amazing and underappreciated band!!!!

    i loved this band and particularly admired as a musician and producer.perhaps one of the most influential people of the early-mid 80s. he basically created the neo-psychedelia sound of that time, bril,liant recording

    Remember seeing them in the RJ Reynolds High School Auditorium in Winston-Salem in the late 80s. Epic times and In Little Ways is still in my regular rotation.

    Maybe their best lineup- so tight and plenty of hooks… the original 3 would have been great to see- I was lucky enough to see the later ones

    Their two best songs IMO, and excellent sound quality

    I remember seeing them when they opened for REM in Jacksonville FL in the mid-80's. I walked away having a new favorite band and still have their albums on CD to this day.

    "In Little Ways" is a classic much like many other Let's Active songs. I would bet money these songs resurface one day and get Mitch some more royalties. :-)

      Yes, I can see future generations freaking out when they unearth these songs. Both of them have excellent cinematic potential. Horizon for a moment of existential tumult and wanderlust, and In Little Ways for the closing montage of a John Hughes or Cameron Crowe type coming-of-age flick.

    Wow. I saw that tour, as well. There were perhaps 40 people at the TLA in Philadelphia, but Mitch was a good sport!

      With some detective work on the Let's Active facebook group and a little help from Mitch himself, we have determined it was filmed at The Cannery Ballroom, Nashville.

    Horizon is a stand out song! Much like 'Lowdown' on Cypress, very similar vocal style yet I know it was a different singer. Mr Easter seemed to go through an awful lot of different women. He must be quite the Valentino/Lady's Man..

    yeah, waiting for you... did you fix those?

  • @jat13
    @jat13  18 ปีที่แล้ว

    There's a lot more from this concert but it goes horribly out of sync after these tracks, I'll try and fix it one day and upload some more. They featured prominently on the IRS cutting edge series which is out there amongst fans somewhere and they also performed on UK TV on at least two occasions.

      What venue was this. I think I saw them both in Ann Arbor and Chapel Hill around 88 and 89. Kinda like to know if i could be in the audience. Horizon is still a favorite song of mine!

    Is Angie Carlson up to anything these days?
