To non yoyo people, rock the baby or breakaway into trapeze is impressive enough. and I'm not hating on non yoyo people, I don't expect them to perform or understand crazy tricks when the only thing they know is walk the dog.

Tbh my favroites are the MonkeyFinger Vines phat size. Very comfortable, kinda floaty and thick feeling, relatively cheap in a bulk quanity, and a bit more lifetime than kitty in my experience. That said I also really like stringlabs type x for how long they last, and how snappy they feel.

What I'm guessing he's doing is less slowing down the yoyo as it is getting rid of vibe from an off-axis throw since he only taps it for a second, but he could be slowing it down for no reason.

Are you using a non-responsive yoyo like he describes in the beginning of the video? It's also important to keep your hands in a straight line with your yoyo. The string shouldn't touch the sides of the yoyo. It should be straight across the middle and only touch the bearing. It takes a lot of practice to keep your hands in a perfect line while doing tricks.

Just grabbed my yoyo to try and emulate your problem. From my experimentation, it sounds like you're whipping the string through the front of the yoyo. What I mean by this, is when the loop of string begins to go around the yoyo, it goes through the front half (the yoyo half away from you) instead of the back half (the yoyo half towards you). What I found to be quite helpful is to try to whip the string around the back half of the yoyo only, as that will set you up for a bind or for the repeater shown in the video. Hope it helped!

I wasn't actually, but I learnt it because of a friend, basically, whip the string really hard and let the 2 strings to cover ALL OF YOUR HAND, when you get it once, you're gonna land it 70 times easier

Are you using a non-responsive yoyo like he describes in the beginning of the video? It's also important to keep your hands in a straight line with your yoyo. The string shouldn't touch the sides of the yoyo. It should be straight across the middle and only touch the bearing. It takes a lot of practice to keep your hands in a perfect line while doing tricks.
Check your response pads to make sure they are flush with the sides of the yoyo.

Usually that means that your bearing either needs to be lubed with thin yoyo lube, or cleaned.
