was there last week, my hotel was 15 mins away. went to utopie 2x, baguette sold out 😒😒. so i bought sable/chocolate cookies...turns out to be the best too.
I miss baguettes in France (Canadian ones don’t compare).. can’t wait to go to France again and have a baguette tradition 🥖
How are the baguettes in Canada ?

We have baguettes in the USA, but they don't taste anywhere close to as good as the baguettes i remember from France
How are they ? Like too soft ?
@frenchguytheo the taste isn't as good maybe because the wheat is different? I think they're also mass produced & have additives and preservatives. It's also difficult to find bakeries that make their own breads if you don't live in a large city

The picture was from Google ahah, but I usually add Nesquik powder or Benco chocolate chips

Yes but even the best one is not like the ones in France
Indeed, in Tokyo and Yokohama, some good baquettes here. Wish I were eating one in France, though.
We have baguettes in Connecticut in the USA, but they’re not as good as in Paris. However, we have one French boulangerie near where I live that’s pretty good.
Oh I'm glad you have this French boulangerie, what do you love to buy there ?
It’s called Isabelle et Vincent. I like their croissants with different fillings inside. The pain au chocolate is excellent as well. The plain baguette isn’t my favorite. It’s too soft on the outside, but the cranberry and walnut baguette has that nice crusty exterior with a softer delicious interior.

Hi and great video as always. What you are eating is the not the baguette that won the contest. It is a contest that happens once a year where the baker put all his efforts into trying to bake the best baguette possible on that day for the jury. It's not the same that is available daily at his bakery.
Thanks for your comment but I think it's the same recipe, he will also provide baguettes to the president so I think he's keeping the same recipe for that
@@frenchguytheo if you talk about "recipe", you might have misunderstood what makes a baguette great or not great. There are a lot of documentaries about it and about this contest in French language, there might some good ones as well in English. You're definitely not eating the same baguette as from the contest.
