    Thanks for the vid.
Maybe a little blue masking tape around the pipe and shingles so that it looks a little cleaner when you pull it off...just to give it a cleaner finished appearance.
Good vid ! Straight forward. Outstanding commentary!!😂

Im an idiot. I watched your vid, went to Lowe's to get the stuff, then went up and forgot to put some of the sealant around the pipe first before the boot went on 🤦‍♂️ i did use the whole tube though so hopefully it will be enough!! 🤞 great vid i can't afford a roofer right now

That sir is your sewer vent pipe. If you want to save a tube of caulking you can put a nail in the top to save for later. It's good you kept that first flange under the shingles. You dont want to see water and ice get between the new seal and old but you should be good to go. Just keep an eye on it from time to time. 🙂

*Correct It’s The Sewer Pipe. Yeah I Was Actually Thinking I Should Have Put Some Nails In It As Well. I’ll Just Have To Do It When The Weather Gets Better, Now It’s Pouring Out Rain. I’m Just Happy I Got That Done Before The Next Storm! Thanks For Your Support Brother!* 😎

@@CJsINFO do NOT put nails in it that will cause more problems, look at the way the first flange is set under the shingles its done so in a way that the water flows over everything. 😜

@@CJsINFO i would just cut an actual hole in the roof around the pipe this way the water can flow freely 😎

I had a issue with the pipe inside the attic the same type cast Iron pipe. I didn’t have water issues I had smell issues only when attic fan was on.
After years I finally went o attic and saw the old pipe that the seal was broken so I used Mortite clay putty all around it. So far so good.
Before winter comes I think I will remove putty and place silicone from a tube there and then the putty on top.
    Thanks
