    Single here at 40. To all single ladies here, just be grateful that you are being protected from unhealthy relationships. Having peace of mind is more important than being in a toxic one.

    As an NBSB girlie, this was so empowering! I turned 30 this year and grabe the pressure of finding a boyfriend. I'm in a healthy place now where I WANT a relationship but I don't see it as a NEED. Love hearing your insights kasi I feel super validated

    I’m a certified happy and blessed single, and I couldn’t agree more with everything you’ve said. I almost got married at 28 but didn’t hesitate to call it off when I noticed the red flags-a decision that turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever made for myself. Since then, I’ve traveled to 33 countries (and counting), lived in several of them, and embraced life to the fullest by serving wherever God has sent me. Every step has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and the joy of following His plan.

    This podcast made me realize a lot of things sometimes when you’re getting into a relationship you don’t realize that we put our partner into a pedestal and expect them to do understand reads our minds and do more things that we can’t even offer ourselves. That instead of focusing on finding a partner, you need to build yourself to be that better partner and not just that, have you need to take a second and take a look at yourself maybe there’s something missing within yourself like finding your self, fulfilling your career and dreams that only you can find and really only you can do it no one else. We often say I hope they’re right for me or hoping they’re the last one but at the end of the day are you still happy with yourself without them that’s why it’s important to really just take your time and learn how to do things on your own finding a partner should just be a bonus in life But I think is not necessary to rely and make them think they’re going to make you happy once you’re in relationship everyone in your life can disappoint you. So it’s so important when you get into a relationship you’re self intact that no matter what happen whether they leave and the relationship didn’t work you won’t be a wreck after.

    I would just like to say this was Godsent. I think this video found me. I’m 34 now, and I just recently broke up with my ex after a year of dating - in the middle of my Bar exam review. It feels like I’m just going through the motions because I can’t wallow in my sadness as I have to focus on reading. This gave me so much hope and I am excited for the next few months, or even years of my life to enjoy my singlehood. I’m now an instant fan, Nicole and Lissa. 💗

  • @leaarianne
    @leaarianne 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    this has got to me one of my most favorite episodes in your podcast. I resonate so so much with both of you guys, especially with Lisa, because I’m 28 and I also just came out (not “just” actually, it’s been 2 years!!) from a long term relationship and I’m extremely happy, content and at peace with being by myself. 🦋
    I’ve spent quite some time doing the inner work undistracted and I really now give myself the PEACE that I now want to protect with all my might. LOL like it took so long and hard for me to get to this point, na anyone I date that will not potentially fill my cup as much as I do, I don’t waste my energy on na. and for you to be able to make yourself happy, that is something so empowering! sobrang natural lang na we have this set of standards kasi I can literally buy myself flowers, lamoyon?! hahaha
    but really, I admire how you both are navigating the single life with full confidence and with a positive outlook. singlehood is indeed a gift that not everyone gets to experience. sabi nga nila, if you know na a year from now you’ll get the family life that you’ve always wanted, what would you have done differently? SO INDEED, ROMANTICIZE YOUR SINGLE LIFE, BESTIES!
    P.S. I’m a listener all the way from Massachusetts!! add that to your long list of international reach hehe

    As a single guy who's actively dating, it is true na nakakapagod naman talaga and also what Nicole said na, "sometime nakakalimutan mo na king ano na kwento mo" specially when you're dating 3-5 people at the same time hahaha that's why sometimes, id take my time to rest and delete the apps for months. I love their genuineness!

    hindi ko alam kung iiyak ba ako or tatawa. but it feels so good na may topic na ganito. Ito yung totoong we do not invalidate someone just because we did not experience it. Ito yung kahit konti na feel ko na okay lang kung di ako ganito di ako ganyan. Thank you Girls! Na feel ko na somehow parang ako si Lissa less sa part na pumarty sya during her 20s hahaha

    Super dami kong natutunan sa inyo!. I can relate to you ladies because I am in the same situation, early 30’s, single for 6 years din, and happily doing the self work! Minsan mahirap but it was really a wakeup call hearing Lissa say na mas nanghihinayang siya sa future if mag end up with the wrong person. That’s such a really nice perspective, hindi na ako manghihinayang to take my time at present to focus on myself. ❤
