Thank you Travis, you and Trudy are the only ones speaking out against this monstrosity of a book, to bring out all the dirt when your Dad is not here to defend himself, so very, very wrong. God love you both and thank you Sheryl for getting this put together, way too cool. --Mary Ann

This book should not have been written with all the alleged bathroom accidents, alleged wild tirades and a notorious gun incident ,. Dirty laundry in a marriage, if true should not be revealed, and if the incidents are creatively Constructed for maximum shock effect , the only purpose for such dissemination is another vehicle to make money for its author.. she certainly cannot claim the high road of protecting Glen’s dignity with such revelations. It is curious that she was able to quote people verbatim, the conversations that are almost 40 years old.. in my opinion , I think Glen would be mortified by some of the stuff that she has revealed. Thank you, Travis for defending your father’s honor and integrity. We will always love and appreciate this vastly talented man who continues to bring joy to all his fans.

Alzheimer Disease causes a lot of personality changes, none of which the sufferer has any control of. I've not read the book, nor will I. There are some things that should be kept private and these revelations should have been. There's a way to word things to inform without embarrassment and humiliation to the family and the patient. I have great respect for Travis and Trudy for coming forward and defending Glen who was unable to do so for himself for many years and certainly cannot now. You are a loving son Travis and a class act.

So sad. I am glad Glen's son spoke out. I went out on the golf course with Glen seven times over the years and rode around in the golf cart with him and once even brought along a pocket tape recorder to capture our conversation. He was a GREAT guy, down to earth, with no pretenses. He would even sing parts of songs to me, talk about recording sessions (and how he wasn't happy with them, as he was a perfectionist), etc. I saw him be unfailingly kind to strangers, and who can forget his sense of humor? One time I took what I regard as one of the greatest photos of him ever, and somehow lost it over the years. We talked about everything under the sun. Years later, when HIS book came out, I managed to reach him by phone in his hotel room while he was on tour promoting it, and taped an interview with him for a big magazine article cover story. He remembered me from years earlier. His first question to me was whether or not I was "saved." We talked religion a bit. My own dear Mother had Alzheimer's the last 9-1/2 years of her life, and I took care of her in my home. I realize AZ can change a person and I suspect the orneriness that Kim may have experienced from Glen occurred when he was not himself. I am glad she talked about this horrible disease, but if she -- as his son says -- manipulated him to do 150 farewell concerts when he only wanted to do 12, then that was very bad of her. God bless Glen...a humble but immensely talented singer, guitarist and all-around nice guy. Seeing him sing duets with his parents on his TV show tells you what kind of man he was. BTW, BLOCKING GLEN'S OWN CHILDREN FROM SEEING THEIR DAD WHEN HE GOT SICK WAS REPREHENSIBLE AND NOT INFORMING THEM OF HIS STATE OF HEALTH WAS AS WELL. I am glad they took legal action against Kim.

It is a real shame that unkind things, just plain dirt, have to be expressed in a book about a man who seemed so kind and gentle and certainly likeable! Sour grapes are hard to swallow, but negative things are best left UNSAID, especially in a bio-type book!
Celebrities are never perfect any more than any other human, but they often have pressures that the common public have no idea can exist. Their life sometimes is NOT easy. I can't blame Glen's son for wanting to defend his Dad.

It was known everywhere the kindness of Glen Campbell. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease and the persons turns into an entire different person. Alzheimers does not happen overnight, and Glen may have been showing the affects of the disease many years before it came out to the public. From what I heard on the media, the tell-all book is written for shock effect. Let Glen rest in peace and leave his legacy alone.

Im afraid, to not allow Glen Campbell's children from previous marriages not allow them to visit their Father whilst in a home. I mean his wife has the decision to put him in a home, but not to phone the sons and daughters to let them know whats happening.
Plus, glen had a large home, she could have had a army of nurses to take care of him at home. And she could have got on with her life without even having to see him day by day at all. If she found it too painful.
If she did not get on with his sons and daughters , she did not have to deny access to their father, that is despicable, very uncaring.
Families fall out for sure, but they all knew he was dying, no doubt about it. Glen would have wanted to see his other children.
She wasnt thinking of glen, when she decided that.
And even though it was lovely to see Glen on his goodbye tour, i agree with his son , he should have been with his friends and family.
Seems the last buck to be made had to be squeezed out of him.

I read Kim's book and I have also read Glen's autobiography and Debby Campbell's book also. Glen himself talks about his issues with drugs and booze and Debby's book seemed to be just attacking Kim and Ashley and even Glen himself in a couple of chapters. Overall I enjoyed Kim's book because it was honest and covered the good times and the bad times. We all know the problems Alzheimer's causes, not just the memory loss but the paranoia. These things are hard to read, but I have been a fan for over 40 years and I don't think less of Glen after all I have read not just in books but all the news paper articles as well. I think for me Kim, made me realize although Glen was super talented he was still very insecure and this may have been the cause of Glen's original drinking problem and drugs of course. I don't think Kim intended to just show Glen in a bad light, the book was a story of their love and support for each other until Glen's passing

Thank you for your perspectives on the books by family members on their recollections of Glen Campbell ...
I have not read any of the books you mentioned.
I am a Christian, I know how hard it is to forgive a person who - for whatever reason - was mean and abusive. I know the deep harm caused by narcissistic people.
As a Christian, I just wonder why Kim (Glen's last wife, a Christian also) couldn't, or wouldn't, encourage recogoncillation (forgiveness) between Glen and all his adult children before Glen died.
To say, Glen was too far gone to know about love and forgiveness due to AD is to doubt the power of God and the healing power of Christ.
This is my opinion. I'm not telling anyone what they should do, or not do. ✝️🇨🇦

I'm sure nothing was revealed in this book that Glen hadn't owned up to himself in many interviews. Bottom line he acknowledged his faults and was man enough to move on beyond them. Took strength, a strong belief in God and plenty of will power. I'm proud of him doing so. Many don't even try to mend their ways, but there is always time to accept God into your life. Just ask sincerely and He will hear your prayer for forgiveness & healing. Every good ending must have a beginning. Do it today!

I've gone through both Kim's and Debbie's books; Debbie just seemed to hate Kim used the book to trash her. Whether we like it or not, Kim was who Glen chose to spend his life with. I do think she can be a bit pushy and controlling - that's something I see with a lot of musicians. They want someone to deal with the day to day stuff so they can just focus on music.

Listen . . . Been through very similar issues with our family. This son didn't care about Glen for over 20 years (Glens wife confirms) until Travis learned Glen was dying from Alzheimers . . . Then sudden interest in his dad and Glens massive fortune he EARNED. This is all sour grapes. Glen left this Travis character out of the will purposely. Travis acts as if he cares about Glens legacy. Ya right. He is seeking revenge because he didn't receive any free money. VERY SIMPLE AND FACTUAL. Glen was right!!

I read the book. I also read Debby Campbells book. I think the truth lies somewhere in between. I believe that Glen was a tortured individual that was impacted by his austere upbringing in severe poverty. I don’t think he was ever able to truly connect with any of his wives or his children. They all appear to be somewhat broken as a result of being in Glens orbit of his past drug abuse, alcoholism and pursuit of a career in entertainment. In Glens book he wrote about an event with his father that followed him all his life, If you are severely poor to the extent that you can’t feed your children and you have to tell your youngest son to drown a bag full of kittens because you can’t afford to feed the mother cat, then for Gods sake quit having children. Likewise for Glen if he can’t stop traveling long enough to have a relationship with his children then for Gods sake stop having children. And even more important, quit being the woman in his life that enables him.
