Im about to do the halo 2 figure tonight myself, just got into customizing and I love it. This is gonna be my second custom job then I'm going to repaint he grunts from the 4 pack since they scale better with master chief.
Very nice. I hope they do the aliens in this scale at some point. They could call it the covenant collection or legendary collection and give us Arbiter.

Interesting that you use a wet magic eraser for removing the wash excess! I usually use a paper towel with a bit of rubbing alcohol, but I'll have to try your method. Question: do you let the wash dry first, or do that wiping while it's still wet?
Honestly for this particular project wiping everything off was probably unnecessary as I covered up most things anyway. I was mainly seeing if the black wash on its own was good enough or if I *had* to repaint the green as well. In this case I waited for it to dry as a paper towel might've sucked up the wash if I accidently touched a crevice.
Hey can you tell all the stuff you used to make him look like this that black was you used to the exact paint. I would really love to custom the 5 Spartans I have please give input. Great vid a custom by the way.

It varies from project to project but I think I did this time, it's some clear matte spray varnish I get from a car shop but I had to be careful to not get any on the visor.
Dude, I'm I crazy or what? I was trying to remove the silver paint from the helmet and then *the green in one spot peeled* I just left that there and worked on everything else
@@undying_artv2 Oh I paid $50 shipped. He's not available retail anymore so I think it's a decent price, plus it's probably the only Master Chief figure I'll ever need. I *might've* been able to get one of the newer releases but the head is sitting really high up on the new one and in general seems to be worse engineered judging from AnthonysCustoms' reviews.

Do you have any issues with the paint chipping when posing? I know a common issue with this figure is that some areas kind of grind against each other and was wondering if you came across that problem
@@VADtoys oh for sure im just more concerned about the hip pieces. i wouldnt want the original lime green to stick out like a thumb when i paint this guy

I like go over with a Comistic Sponge
In places we r e I want it off while it still wet.
But I do like the Magic Sponge method

Using a primer will help keep the paint on better

Not sure but not too much. Heavy grey is already very green.

I mean no paint will handle a fingernail scratching against it but it's durable enough for light play

Most of the joints themselves on Chief are black already so not real issues with paint chipping here
