    I love your videos man. They help me a lot. I have an 08 Xterra and all the things that I needed help with, most of them I got them through you. Thank you for everything.

      Too kind, just glad to help those needing help.
      Got another coming out on brake fluid flush soon.

    Thank You! I don't have any problems as of yet. I replaced that crappy heater hose inlet with the one from Z1 years ago. When I saw the title...I was worried you were replacing the lines all the way to the heater core under the dash! I was wondering how you were going to show this in under 15 minutes...Glad we don't have to go there...As far as needing to burp the system after refilling or replacing coolant...that heater hose inlet has a bleeder on it as well. Also, can your next video be on how you installed the catch can, please?

      Lol I think in my video library I have that catch can but haven't had time to build the video. Editing is probably my hardest part as it takes me a lot of time trying to get things just right (sort of hard on myself sometimes). Since you asked, though I owe another video here soon, I'll see if I can get to that next..
      Thankfully, I haven't had to pull the dash but that would be one heck of a video.
      Do remember the system self bleeds, but the bleeder helps get bleeding accomplished quicker.

    Great Video. Thanks for taking the time to post it. I have a 2015 Xterra. I have a reservoir leak as well. Is it the small piece of hose or the clamps that allow the leak. The reservoir itself is not cracked or any pin holes. Please let me know. Thanks

      That hose is the same leak i had. You can try and get a small replacement other than replacing that whole metal part. Just remove that hose an take it into Napa (or other) and get a hose replacement.

    Any clue on the size of hose on the small section of the lower reservoir piece? Mine is leaking and stinking coolant but really dont want to tear apart all that stuff 😂

      Inside Diameter is 3/8" and you just need to buy 1ft (i didn't think anyone will sell it less). You must remove the reservoir as it will be easier to attach the new hose to it and then push it onto the metal pipe.

      @@autoxadvice4159 thank you sir appreciate that. Any trick to draining just the reservoir? Should i just grab a fluid extractor and suck the coolant right out?

    • @autoxadvice4159
      @autoxadvice4159  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MrKyleBart yes, a fluid extractor works great. I think i just punched off the hose that guess to the reservoir and that was about it on the first time i replaced that hose (before this video).

    A little off subject but I just picked up a 15’ frontier with 80k miles….we’re in winter right now and I noticed both fans seem to run quite often and they’re rather loud. Not screaming loud, just a little loud. Everything works perfect. I can spin fan freely, fan looks fairly new. Is this just a Nissan thing?

      My fans pretty much never make any noise or come on. Your symptoms sound suspicious.

    • @autoxadvice4159
      @autoxadvice4159  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On start up the clutch fan will engage but quiets down after about 10 seconds. The electric secondary fan I rarely ever hear. The only time I've heard both fans was in the middle of the summer with the AC on. Other than that I rarely ever hear them especially in winter.

    • @dakotamoreauaerialproducti2644
      @dakotamoreauaerialproducti2644 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes mine does that. Engages for about 10-20seconds then it’s as quiet as a mouse. After about 1/2 hour of driving I hear the fan kick on and it just seems a little louder than I’m used to.

    • @autoxadvice4159
      @autoxadvice4159  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you say your fan kicks on, which one? About what temp is on the gage, what is the temp outside, and are you hauling or driving up and down hills?

      The temp gauge stays steady when truck is warmed up. Takes about 5-10mins to warm up….as for the the fans, I can hear both running. its been anywhere from 30-40 degrees here. Highway driving then a lot of starting and stopping when i get into town.

    Wholly Mother of Jesus, I swear they have midget engineers at nissan. That reservoir hose looks like a pain in the arse. Thats getting changed when it leaks 😂
    Thanks for sharing.

      It was, but and a masterful turns and curves tucked nicely under everything. I was not expecting it to be that painful.
      I did change the small rubber hose end once when I first bought the truck and that was a pain too but less of a pain then the whole part.

    question for you since you seem to be pretty well versed on frontiers, have you ever noticed a slight bump/ harder shift on your 2-3 shift? Ive been noticing it under medium acceleration mostly. Doesnt happen every time, not sure if its a normal characteristic or im just paranoid. Thanks!

    • @autoxadvice4159
      @autoxadvice4159  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ill start by saying that my frontier will shift harder (I feel it more) around 35-38mph. It does it accelerating and deaccelerating. It's just the way the transmission is tuned. Above 40mph it rides the smoothest.
      I hope that helps.

    • @MrKyleBart
      @MrKyleBart 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@autoxadvice4159 thank you! It is probably around the 35 mph zone that 2-3 shift just sometimes feels a bit sharper than the rest. nothing alarming and sounds like im probably just being paranoid. Thank you sir!

      @MrKyleBart
      Agree it felt more in the shift at that speed. Just make sure your transmission oil is at the proper level and that you drain and fill your oil to keep it clean.
