MRF ZVTV is a great one for Indian roads. I have done 1.8L kms with my baleno and just replaced the 3rd set with same brand & model. 1st company fitted did 1L kms, 2nd set did 80K kms. It lasts long, gives great fuel efficiency and also great ride & handling**
(** I always use nitrogen and check refills every 15 days, also I do 5 tyre rotations at every 10K kms and that matters a lot)

Bridgestone ka brand h Firestone kesa tyre h..????

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

Firestone is a subsidiary brand of Bridgestone. Both companies are major players in the global tyre market, known for producing high-quality tyres.
While Bridgestone is often seen as the parent brand, Firestone has its own distinct identity and product line. Firestone tyres are generally considered to be reliable, durable, and offer good performance. They often cater to a wider range of budgets and vehicle types compared to Bridgestone, which sometimes focuses on premium or high-performance tyres.

Hello Sir, I have 2 questions. 1) First being I'm planning to buy Scorpio N new model which comes with 17 inches alloys and tyre profile being 245/65/R17 and im planning to upgrade them to 18 inches alloys with tyre profile being 255/60/R18. I am upgrading it for the looks. So do you think I should upgrade and would the upgrade in tyre size affect major mileage difference? 2) My second question is. What tyre brand and specific model should i go for? My main use would be in the city and highway. Pls suggest and reply sir. Thank you!

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. Upgrading Tires on Mahindra Scorpio N:
You can upgrade the tires on your Scorpio N to 18 inches with a profile of 255/60/R18 for aesthetic reasons. However, there are some trade-offs to consider:
      - Mileage: A larger and heavier tire can slightly decrease fuel efficiency.
      - Speedometer Variance: Since the new tires are slightly larger in diameter, your speedometer might show a slightly lower speed than your actual speed.
      - Fender Rubbing: In rare cases, with very aggressive driving or a full load, there's a slight chance the tires might rub against the fender liners.
      - Performance: While barely noticeable, the handling might be slightly less sharp due to the taller sidewall flexing more.
Overall, the impact on mileage and performance shouldn't be significant.

      2. Tire Brand and Model Recommendations:
      - Michelin Primacy 4+ SUV: Offers a balance of comfort, handling, and all-season performance with good fuel efficiency.
      - Continental CrossContact LX Sport: Designed for SUVs with decent handling and all-season capabilities, but may lack an aggressive tread pattern.
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Focuses on comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency with good handling for city and highway driving.
      - Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus: Offers a sportier look with good all-season performance but may come with a higher price tag and slightly lower fuel efficiency.

@TrekBookIndia Thank you so much for the quick response. I am confused between All Terrain Tyres and Highway Tyres. Which one should i go for? My primary use would be in the city and highway. So for that purpose which tyre should i go for? I have heard that All Terrain Tyres vibrate on cement roads or highways and also affects the mileage a little bit. And i won't be using the car for off roading purpose. So pls suggest between Highway tyre or All Terrain tyre for better stability on road and better mileage. And which model? Pls suggest. Thank you.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Shirish0444 For city and highway driving needs, prioritize highway tires for optimal fuel efficiency and performance on paved roads. They offer a smoother ride and reduced vibration compared to all-terrain tires.
      Highway Tire Benefits:
      1. Focus on Mileage and Performance.
      2. Smoother Ride with quieter tread pattern.
      3. Reduced Vibration for a comfortable driving experience.
Consider Michelin Primacy 4+ SUV, Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 SUV, or Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV for your Mahindra Scorpio N (18-inch), known for their balance of comfort, handling, and fuel efficiency.

      Your Maruti Suzuki Dzire
      1. Upsizing vs. Stock Size:
      - Potential Benefits of Upsizing:
      - Improved ground clearance: Can help avoid damage from potholes and speed bumps.
      - Potentially better off-road capability (if you encounter such conditions).
      - Potential Drawbacks of Upsizing:
      - Increased rolling resistance: Can lead to slightly lower fuel efficiency.
      - Altered speedometer readings: The odometer might record slightly less mileage.
      - Possible handling changes: Upsizing can affect the car's handling characteristics.
Recommendation: Looking at your highway-focused driving, sticking to the stock tyre size is generally recommended. It ensures optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and handling for your car.
      2. JK Tyre Taximax:
      - A reputable choice: JK Tyre is a well-known brand in India, and the Taximax is a popular option.
      - Durability and comfort: The Taximax offers a good balance of durability and comfort.
      - Suitable for highway driving: Its tread pattern and construction are designed for highway conditions.
      Recommendations Based on Your Driving:
Given your highway-focused driving and desire for durability, here are some excellent tyre options:
      - Michelin Primacy 4+: Known for its comfort, quietness, and excellent grip.
      - Continental PremiumContact 6: Offers a smooth ride, precise handling, and good fuel efficiency.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Here are some tire recommendations for your Toyota Etios Platinum VX with a size of 185/60 R15, considering your preference for low noise, smooth ride, good lifespan, and warranty, with mostly city driving and occasional highway use:
      Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
      - Known for its exceptional balance of quietness, comfort, handling, and long tread life.
      - Excellent option for a smooth and enjoyable driving experience in city traffic.
      - Performs well on highways during occasional trips.
      - Backed by Michelin's strong reputation and warranty coverage.
      Continental ComfortContact CC6:
      - Offers a quiet and comfortable ride, perfect for city driving.
      - Delivers good wet weather performance and decent treadwear.
      - Well-suited for your needs with a focus on comfort and everyday driving.
      - Continental is a reliable brand with a solid warranty on their tires.
      Bridgestone Turanza AR20:
      - Prioritizes fuel efficiency, which can be beneficial for city driving.
      - Features a quiet tread design and offers a comfortable ride.
      - May not be the most durable option for aggressive driving, but suitable for your use case.
      - Bridgestone is a renowned brand known for quality tires and a good warranty.
      To help you decide:
      - Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Best overall choice for a premium quiet and comfortable experience, but might be on the higher end of the price range.
      - Continental ComfortContact CC6: Excellent balance of comfort, quietness, and affordability.
      - Bridgestone Turanza AR20: Prioritizes fuel efficiency at a potentially lower price point, but might have a slightly shorter lifespan compared to the others.

Focus on Comfort and All-Season Performance:

For city driving on a budget, consider MRF or CEAT for their affordability and decent performance.
      - MRF's ZLX or CEAT's Milaze/FuelSmarrt are suitable choices offering good value for money.
      - If prioritizing comfort and durability, Michelin and Bridgestone are reliable options.
      - Michelin's Energy XM2 provides a smooth ride and long tread life, ideal for slow city driving.
      - Bridgestone's B290 or DriveGuard offer durability and performance for urban conditions.

I'm glad you found the video informative! When it comes to choosing new tires for your XUV 300, considering your driving habits, both on highways and off-road, it's essential to select tires that offer good performance and durability.
      1. Michelin Defender LTX M/S: These tires offer a good balance between on-road comfort and off-road capability. They provide excellent traction in various conditions and have a long tread life, which means they should last a significant number of kilometers.
      2. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3: This tire is designed for both on-road and off-road performance. It provides good traction in different terrains, including gravel and mud, while still offering a comfortable ride on highways. It's known for its durability and long tread life.
      3. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar: These tires are built to handle a variety of road surfaces, including off-road trails and highways. The Kevlar construction enhances durability and puncture resistance, making them suitable for rugged use.
      4. Continental TerrainContact A/T: This tire offers a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road performance. It's designed to provide excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions, as well as on rough terrain. The durable construction ensures a long lifespan.
In terms of how many kilometers you can expect these tires to last, it largely depends on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, and maintenance. However, with proper care and regular rotation, you can typically expect these tires to last anywhere from 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers or more.

Since budget isn't a constraint and you prioritize a balance between city and highway driving for your Tata Hexa (235/55 R19), here are two excellent options to consider:
      1. Michelin Primacy 4+: [Image of Michelin Primacy 4+ tires]
      - Pros:
      - Exceptional All-Around Performance: Offers excellent grip, handling, and responsiveness on both dry and wet roads.
      - Comfort and Quietness: Michelin is known for its focus on comfort, and the Primacy 4+ delivers a quiet and smooth ride, perfect for highway cruising.
      - Long Tread Life: You can expect good mileage from these tires, making them a good value despite the premium price tag.
      - All-Season Capability: Handles varied weather conditions well.
      - Cons:
      - Price: Michelin tires are generally more expensive than other brands.
      2. Continental ContiSportContact 5:
      - Pros:
      - Excellent Handling: Prioritizes handling and performance, making it a good choice for drivers who enjoy a more spirited driving experience, even with a large SUV like the Hexa.
      - Good Balance for City and Highway: Provides a good balance of comfort for city driving and responsiveness for highway driving.
      - All-Season Performance: Maintains good grip in various weather conditions.
      - Cons:
      - Treadwear: The focus on handling might mean slightly less tread life compared to the Michelin Primacy 4+.
      - Noise: The ContiSportContact 5 might not be as quiet as the Michelin Primacy 4+ on the highway due to its sportier tread design.
      Choosing between these two:
      - Prioritize Comfort and Long Life: If a quiet ride, long tread life, and excellent all-around performance are most important, then the Michelin Primacy 4+ is the better choice.
      - Prioritize Handling and Performance: If you enjoy a more spirited driving experience and prioritize handling for both city and highway driving, then the Continental ContiSportContact 5 might be a better fit.

Tires for your Mahindra Scorpio N (18 inch) with 75% highway and 25% off-road driving:
      - All-Terrain Tires:
These tires offer a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability, making them ideal for your driving mix.
      Here are some good options:
      - Bridgestone Dueler A/T 001: Known for durability, off-road traction, and decent on-road handling.
      - Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S: [Image of Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S tire] Offers a balance of all-weather performance, off-road grip, and highway comfort.
      - Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015: Provides a comfortable ride on-road and good traction on loose surfaces.
Dealers in Pimpri who might buy back your 17 inch alloys and tires:
Finding dealers who specifically offer buybacks on new tires and alloys can be tricky. However, here are some general tire dealers in Pimpri you can contact to inquire about buyback options:
      - Pandit Tyres: (www.pandit.com/) They have a wide range of tires and might be willing to negotiate a buyback on your new 17-inch setup.

Disclaimer: I am not connected to any of above dealers by any means. It's always best to call these dealers directly and inquire about their specific buyback policies and pricing for your current 17-inch wheels and tires. Be sure to mention that the tires and alloys are new and unused.

What’s your thought on Yokohama S-drive and Continental UC6 tyres? Which one is best in handling and comfort?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yokohama S-drive:
      - Focus: These tires prioritize handling and performance. They feature a sportier tread pattern and stiffer sidewalls for better grip during cornering and responsiveness.
      - Handling: Yokohama S-drives are known for their excellent handling, making them a good choice for drivers who enjoy a more spirited driving experience.
      - Comfort: The stiffer sidewalls and sportier tread might translate to a slightly firmer ride compared to comfort-focused tires.
      Continental UC6:
      - Focus: These tires offer a balance of performance with an emphasis on comfort and all-season capability.
      - Handling: The UC6 provides decent handling for everyday driving, but it might not be as sharp or responsive as the S-drive in high-performance situations.
      - Comfort: The UC6 prioritizes a smoother and quieter ride due to its softer compound and tread design.
      In a nutshell:
      - For the best handling: Yokohama S-drive is the clear winner.
      - For a balance of comfort and handling: Continental UC6 is a better choice.

    Sir I have Grand i10 Auto 2018 model, want to change my tyres. Currently it's 165 65 R 14 can I go for 165 70 R 14 ?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

You can technically switch to 165/70 R14 tires for your 2018 Grand i10 Automatic.
Pros of switching to 165/70 R14:
      - Slightly increased ground clearance: The taller sidewall of the 70 aspect ratio will raise your car's ride height by a small margin, potentially improving clearance over bumps and obstacles.
      - Potentially improved ride comfort: The taller sidewall might also provide a slightly softer ride by absorbing more impact from road imperfections.
Cons of switching to 165/70 R14:
      - Odometer variance: The speedometer and odometer readings might become slightly less accurate. Since the new tires have a larger diameter, your car will travel a slightly longer distance for each revolution of the wheel compared to the stock 165/65 R14 tires. This means the speedometer might read a lower speed than you're actually travelling, and the odometer might underestimate the total distance driven.
      - Potential handling changes: The taller sidewall might affect handling characteristics slightly, especially during cornering. The car might feel less responsive or have a bit more body roll.
      - Potential rubbing on fenders: In some cases, the larger tires might rub against the fenders, especially if the car is lowered or if you encounter full suspension compression (like with a heavy load).

Here are some good tire options for your Tata Altroz, considering your driving habits (50% city, 50% highway), priorities (good grip, handling, long life, warranty), and the fact that your current tires are 4 years old with 68,000 kms:
      Focus on High-Performance and Durability:
      - Michelin Primacy 4+: Offers excellent grip, handling, and a good balance of comfort and responsiveness. It's known for long tread life and a warranty of typically 5 years (check for specific details from the seller).
      - Continental ContiSportContact 5: Similar to the Primacy 4+, this tire excels in handling, grip, and offers good performance on both highways and city roads. It also boasts a warranty of around 5 years (check for specifics).
      Focus on Balance and Value:
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: A good balance of performance for everyday driving, including good grip, handling, and all-season capability. It offers decent tread life and a warranty that might be around 3-4 years (check for specifics).
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE-50: Provides a balance of handling, comfort, and wet weather performance. It's known for good tread life and a warranty that might be around 3-4 years (check for specifics).

      @TrekBookIndia  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Both the Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZDI and Ciaz ZDI likely have the same stock tire size, which is 215/60 R16.
Prioritizing Performance for Long Highway Runs:
      - Grip and Handling: You'll want tires that offer good grip on dry and wet roads, especially for highway speeds and potential unexpected weather conditions.
      - Comfort and Noise Reduction: A comfortable and quiet ride is important for long journeys.
      - Fuel Efficiency: For highway driving, fuel efficiency can be a factor, so consider tires with low rolling resistance.
      - Michelin Primacy 4+: Offers excellent all-around performance, including good grip, handling, comfort, quietness, and decent fuel efficiency. It's a popular choice for highway driving.
      - Continental ContiPremiumContact 5: Provides a good balance of performance with an emphasis on comfort, quietness, and all-season capability. It offers good handling and wet weather performance for highway driving.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Another well-rounded option, known for its balance of comfort, handling, fuel efficiency, and all-season performance. It's a good choice for highway driving.
Here's a quick summary based on priorities:

Since you drive very little with your 2011 Ford Figo diesel, prioritizing durability and value might be more important than focusing on high-performance features. Here are some good tire options to consider:
      Focus on Durability and Value:
MRF ZLX: A well-regarded domestic brand in India, known for its balance of affordability and good tread life. It offers decent grip for everyday driving and should last for a good number of years with low usage.
CEAT SecuraDrive: Another good budget option known for its focus on comfort, all-season capability, and extended tread life. It might be a good choice for your low-mileage driving scenario.

      @TrekBookIndia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Here's a breakdown to help you decide on new tires for your Maruti Suzuki Celerio (165/70 R14) considering your situation:
      MRF ZVTV:
      - Pros: You're familiar with the ZVTV, known for its durability and affordability (might be a plus if you plan to keep the car for a while).
      - Cons: You've experienced three punctures in 6 years, which might be a concern. Additionally, the ZVTV might not offer the best comfort or fuel efficiency compared to some other options.
      Yokohama and Bridgestone:
      - Pros: Both Yokohama and Bridgestone offer a variety of tire options in your size that could provide better performance in terms of comfort, handling, or fuel efficiency compared to the ZVTV. They might also have improved puncture resistance.
      - Cons: Generally, these brands might be slightly more expensive than MRF.
      MRF ZLX:
      - Pros: An upgrade within the MRF brand, offering a better balance of performance compared to the ZVTV. It might provide some improvement in comfort, handling, and wet weather performance.
      - Cons: It might not be as puncture-resistant as some Yokohama or Bridgestone options, and it might not be the most fuel-efficient choice.
      Considering your situation:
      - Focus on City Driving: Since you mainly use the car in the city, prioritize comfort, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance.
      - Occasional Road Trips: These factors remain important for occasional highway driving as well.
Here's a recommendation based on your situation:
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE-51: Offers a good balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, wet performance, and decent puncture resistance. It might be a good all-around choice for your driving needs.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Similar to the Yokohama option, offering a balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, and all-season performance. It might be another good contender.
Remember: Even with puncture-resistant tires, proper tire maintenance (inflation checks and rotations) is crucial to minimize the risk of punctures.

Cons: They are generally the most expensive options among the ones you've considered.
      Considering your situation:
Since your primary focus is city driving with occasional road trips, prioritizing comfort, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance remains key. While Continental and Michelin offer superior performance in these areas, they might not be the most cost-effective choice for your needs.

      Hyundai Creta SUV size 205 65 R16,
considering you mostly drive on highways with some village roads in Pune:
      - Michelin Primacy 4 ST - This is an excellent all-season tire that offers a good balance of performance, comfort, and tread life. It has good wet and dry grip, making it a great choice for the mix of highway and village roads you encounter.
      - Continental ContiMaxContact MC5 - This tire is known for its excellent handling and responsiveness. It also has a long tread life and good wet weather performance.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T005A - This is a high-performance tire that offers superior handling and braking. It is also a good choice for wet weather conditions. However, this tire may have a shorter tread life than some of the other options on this list.
Here are comments on other options you mentioned:
      - Bridgestone B390: This is a budget-friendly option that offers decent performance. However, it may not be the best choice for wet weather conditions or high speeds.
      - Goodyear Assurance: Goodyear Assurance offers a variety of tires, including touring, all-season, and performance tires. Without knowing the specific Assurance tire you're considering, it's difficult to say for sure how it would perform for your driving conditions.

Considering your driving conditions in Uttarakhand, here are tire options for your VW Ameo:

      - Michelin Energy XM2: Excellent grip, handling, and durability.
      - MRF Wanderer: Affordable with good grip but may lack comfort.
      Value and Comfort (₹4,000 - ₹5,000):
      - Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51: Balanced comfort and handling, but less durable.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Fuel-efficient and comfortable, with decent grip.
      Additional Tips:

You have two options for your Honda City VX tires:
      1. Stick with Stock Size (185/55 R16):
      - Ensures optimal performance as intended by the manufacturer.
      - Benefits include balanced handling, fuel efficiency, and accurate odometer readings.
      2. Upsize to 195/55 R16:
      - Offers slightly improved comfort and enhanced aesthetics.
      - Drawbacks include reduced handling, potential fuel efficiency decrease, and odometer inaccuracy.
      - Consider brands like Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, or Goodyear for comfort-oriented tires.
Recommendation: Considering comfort priority, upsizing to 195/55 R16 may be suitable, but consult your manual or mechanic to ensure compatibility.

That's interesting to hear about your experience with Bridgestone Ecopia tires. There can definitely be some truth to what you're saying, as tire noise can vary depending on several factors:
Tread Pattern: More aggressive tread patterns, designed for off-road use, can generate more noise on pavement compared to smoother, fuel-efficient treads found on Ecopia tires.
Road Conditions: Rough or uneven roads can contribute to increased tire noise.
Vehicle Make and Model: The way a car is engineered can influence how much tire noise is transmitted into the cabin.

      All-Season Tires:

      - Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport: Focuses on highway performance with responsive handling and wet weather capability. The reinforced sidewalls offer some durability for village roads.
      Balance Between On- and Off-Road:

Based on your preferences and driving conditions, here are some tire recommendations for your Kia Seltos:
      Tires:
      1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
      * Pros: Excellent overall balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency. Ideal for your 50:50 city/highway driving with good performance in west and mid India's varied weather.
      * Cons: Slightly higher price compared to some other options.
      2. Yokohama BluEarth AE-02:
      * Pros: Good balance of comfort, noise reduction, and wet/dry grip. Affordable option with decent highway performance for your frequent highway drives.
      * Cons: May not be as fuel-efficient as the Michelin Primacy 4 ST.
      3. Continental ComfortContact CC6:
      * Pros: Excellent comfort and noise reduction, good wet grip. Suitable for prioritizing comfort on city drives.
      * Cons: Lower dry grip compared to other options, might not be the best choice for frequent highway driving.
      4. Bridgestone Turanza T005A:
      * Pros: Good balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency. Offers decent performance across various driving conditions.
      * Cons: Might not be as quiet as the Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental ComfortContact CC6.
      Size:
Upgrading to a 215/65 R16 tire size is a good option for slightly improved handling and ride comfort. However, make sure it doesn't rub against any parts of your car and consult your car's manual for compatibility.
      Brands:
All four brands mentioned above are reputable and offer good quality tires. Ultimately, the best choice for you depends on your specific budget and priorities.
      Additional factors to consider:
      * Seasonality: If you experience extreme winters, consider all-season or winter tires for better performance in those conditions.
      * Load index: Choose a tire with a load index that can handle the maximum weight you typically carry.
      * Speed rating: Select a speed rating that exceeds your typical driving speeds for safety and stability.
      Recommendation:
Considering your priorities and driving conditions, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST would be an excellent choice for you. It offers a well-rounded performance in all aspects you mentioned, including comfort, noise reduction, grip, and fuel efficiency. While slightly more expensive, it provides value for your money, especially with your frequent highway driving.
However, if budget is a major concern, the Yokohama BluEarth AE-02 is a good alternative with decent overall performance.
Remember to consult a tire dealer for professional advice and recommendations based on your specific needs and budget. They can help you choose the perfect tire for your Kia Seltos.

      Asymmetrical tyre:
      - In tyre ka tread pattern alag-alag hota hai, inner side mein water evacuation ke liye aur outer side mein better handling aur cornering ke liye.

With a reputation for delivering a smooth and quiet ride, it's well-suited for city driving.
While its treadwear rating may be slightly lower than some alternatives, its fuel efficiency and brand reliability make it a compelling choice.
Consider exploring alternatives like the Michelin Energy XM2 or Yokohama BluEarth-A (AE50) for comparison before making your decision.

Thanks for the useful information. I have Kia Seltos with one of the tyres recently got damaged and in need of replacement. I had Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 215/60 R17. Can you please suggest me which tyre should i get it replaced with. Im looking for good comfort and warranty (unconditional). Thanks in advance :)

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Finding an unconditional warranty on tires is rare, as they typically cover defects in materials and workmanship, not wear and tear or road hazards. However, some manufacturers offer good warranties, and here are some suggestions for replacing your damaged Goodyear Assurance Triplemax on your Kia Seltos, focusing on comfort and strong warranties:
      - Comfort-Oriented Options:
      - Michelin Primacy 4 SUV: Renowned for its smooth ride, quiet operation, and extended tread life. Michelin provides a competitive warranty for their tires.
      - Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 SUV: Prioritizes comfort and low rolling resistance, potentially enhancing fuel efficiency. Bridgestone also offers a robust warranty program.
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Strikes a balance between comfort, quietness, and excellent handling for year-round use. Yokohama warranties are widely recognized for their dependability.
If your current Assurance Triplemax tires are approaching the end of their lifespan, it's advisable to replace all four tires to maintain optimal performance and handling.

      - Aesthetics
Cons of Upsizing to 225/55 R16:
      - Slightly Reduced Fuel Efficiency
      - Potentially Reduced Odometer Accuracy
      - Minor Risk of Rubbing
      Brand Recommendations (225/55 R16):
      1. Michelin Primacy 4+
      - Pros: Excellent balance of comfort, handling, and wet weather performance.

Hello sir, 250/60/16 .....which brand should I use for breeza ?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      - Compatibility Issues: The 250/60/16 tire size may lead to rubbing against fenders or other wheel well parts, potentially causing damage and affecting handling.
      - Performance Impact: The larger tire's increased weight and diameter can negatively influence handling, braking, fuel efficiency, and odometer accuracy.
      - Warranty Concerns: Using a non-stock tire size like 250/60/16 might void the car's warranty.
      - Recommended Brands in Stock Size (205/60 R16):
      - Michelin: Options such as the Primacy 4 ST or Energy XM2+ are renowned for comfort, handling, and durability.
      - Continental: Consider tires like the ContiPremiumContact 5 or ContiEcoContact UC6 for precise handling and performance.
      - Bridgestone: The Dueler H/P Sport and Ecopia EP422 Plus offer a good balance of features.
      - Yokohama: Choose the BluEarth-GT AE51 or Geolandar G055 for a comfortable ride and good grip.
      - Consultation Recommended: Always consult the owner's manual or a certified mechanic before purchasing tires to ensure compatibility with your Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza model and avoid potential issues.

I am planning to buy tyres for Grandi10

Stock tyres were Apollo Amazer 3G.
Which ones do you suggest buying for mostly city drive and long drives once every quarter

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Here are some good tire options for your Hyundai Grand i10 (size 165/65 R14) considering your mix of city driving and occasional long trips:
Focus on Comfort and All-Season Performance:
Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Excellent all-around choice for quietness, comfort, good handling, and long tread life. Well-suited for both city and highway driving. It might be on the pricier side but known for lasting longer.
Continental ComfortContact CC6: A great balance of comfort, quietness, and affordability. Well-suited for city driving and offers decent performance on highways during occasional trips.
Focus on Fuel Efficiency (For City Driving):
Bridgestone Turanza AR20: Prioritizes fuel efficiency, a potential benefit for city driving. However, it might have a shorter lifespan compared to the other options.
      Considering Apollo (Previous Tyres):
Apollo Alnac 4G: A good mid-range option from Apollo, offering a balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, and all-season capability. It might be a good choice if you were satisfied with the Apollo Amazer 3G.

      @@TrekBookIndia how about Bridgestone Sturdo?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@kvrr6283 Bridgestone Sturdo can definitely be a good choice for your Hyundai Grand i10, especially considering your mix of city and highway driving.
      Pros:
Affordable: Bridgestone Sturdo is known for being a budget-friendly option compared to some other popular brands like Michelin or Continental.
Durable: These tires are designed with a focus on durability, which can be beneficial for Indian road conditions.
Good Wet Grip: The large center blocks with 3D tread grooves provide good traction on wet surfaces, important for monsoon season driving.
All-Season Capability: Bridgestone Sturdo can handle both city and highway driving conditions.
      Cons:
Comfort and Noise: Bridgestone Sturdo might not be the quietest tire option compared to Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental ComfortContact CC6. User reviews suggest some road noise might be noticeable.
Tread Life: While Sturdo is designed for durability, the treadwear might not be as long-lasting as some premium options like Michelin Primacy 4 ST.
      Overall:
Bridgestone Sturdo is a good value for money option, offering decent performance for city driving and occasional highway trips.
Here's how it compares to the other options you considered:
Michelin Primacy 4 ST & Continental ComfortContact CC6: Offer superior comfort, quietness, and potentially longer tread life, but come at a higher price point.
Apollo Alnac 4G: Similar balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, and all-season capability as Bridgestone Sturdo, potentially with slightly less road noise.
The final decision depends on your priorities:
If budget is a major concern and you prioritize durability, Bridgestone Sturdo is a solid choice.
If you prioritize a quieter ride and longer tread life, Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental ComfortContact CC6 might be worth the extra investment.
If you were satisfied with Apollo and want a good balance, Apollo Alnac 4G is another option to consider.

Hello sir, I need to change my Nexon tyre.....my average drive is low.....kindly suggest.... I checked from dealer...ceat 6100, Goodyear 7000, Bridgestone 8100..pls suggest. Location Rajasthan area....

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Considering your location and driving needs, as well as the options provided by the dealer, here's a suggestion:
Given that your average drive is low and you're likely looking for a cost-effective option without compromising too much on quality, the CEAT and Goodyear options seem like reasonable choices. CEAT and Goodyear are both reputable tire brands known for offering good value for money.
Between the two, CEAT tires are generally well-regarded for their durability and performance, especially on Indian roads. The CEAT SecuraDrive or CEAT Milaze X3 could be suitable options for your Nexon. These tires offer good grip, handling, and longevity, making them well-suited for varied road conditions, including those in Rajasthan.
Alternatively, if you're willing to spend a bit more for potentially better performance and longevity, the Bridgestone option might be worth considering. Bridgestone tires are known for their quality and reliability, and the extra investment could pay off in terms of longer tread life and better overall performance.
