Totally try it! Focus on the experience of experimenting and playing and less on the final piece.

Agree, try it. But let’s pretend for a moment that when done, you love the results of some of the objects and are ‘distracted’ by the final look of one or two. No worries, simply cut our the ones that you love and use a sticky foam square to elevate it on a piece of colored card stock for a greeting card or gift tag. I have ‘repurposed’ a ‘bad painting by using a section as a cut out (cookie cutters are great) of a butterfly or heart or whatever and save for gift tags.

I am laughing at the stupid law about feathers. Every child (and smart artist adults) pick up feathers found in the ground. Native Americans have used them in art and headdresses and hangings and other adornments on pipes and more for decades (maybe centuries). Our government is supposed to be small, restricted, and has enumerated areas of authority and that list is VERY short. Anything beyond those are unconstitutional…so go on a nature scavenger hunt and have fun collecting glorious objects of the Creator.
