This.......was absolutely heart wrenching. And so well made as well, good god. Everything from the initial convo til the sequence with Thogra, Remiel and Redcap trying to get through to him, then almost seamlessly switching to Nebarra, Lucifer and Khash, was absolutely perfect for this. I really wanna know how everyone reacts when you resurrect him as a thrall, since i know you can from Xel's recent updates, it may get even more depressing from there. Kudo's to all the mod authors that worked on their ends in making this!
Wow, one really has to appreciate how much effort all involved mod authors put into a moment like this. I don't know that I'd ever have seen it if not for this video because of how I tend to play when I do a vampire run. With of the depth and warmth of some of these modded followers, it would feel thematically off having them tag along as an evil-aligned vampire. I can justify followers as a vampire when I'm resisting the vampiric urges but then I wouldn't have gotten involved in Clan Volkihar, therefore missing out on this moment.
OMG dude. I knew this would be painful to go through with Xelzaz. Dude does NOT play when it comes to him remaining an enemy to the vampires of Skyrim. I love this follower man.
Neat stuff this video didn't show: If you drink the redwater skooma Xelzaz will be incredibly pissed at you and call you a degenerate. And if you don't have Redcap then Remi joins Xelzaz and you have to kill them both.
Doesnt matter if you have max speech and the amulet of articulation, doesnt matter if literally everyone is calling him an idiot for it, there is no keeping him if you side with the vampires. You might as well kill him on first meeting, if you plan to use the volkihar. Railroading the player is terrible mod design from a gameplay standpoint, especially considering he will be at peace with you being a vampire from first meeting, its just locking in the volkihar questline that makes him do this.
This was heartbreaking, this is gonna be so painful, well done for getting all their dialogue...
@@TheRogue_Paladin thanks it was sad

@@gloryps2781 the redwater skooma thing I didn't know about
And the Remi and redcap I purposely didn't do cuz I wanted to keep Remi in my playthrough
Dang now I really wish I knew how to mod
Wait does installing Xelzaz actually allow you to roleplay as an infiltrator? Because that would be such a cool alternative.
No, being an infiltrator who gains the trust of then betrays them is just the normal volkihar quest, xelz just kills himself on your blade over it
So can I keep him if I don't bring him through the Dawnguard questline if I side with the Volkihar?
No he will just run off out of Skyrim on his own and never stop
now do the opposite, instead of the rest is backing u up do the the rest takes xelzaz side
Nebbara won't take xelzaz's side remi will don't know bout the rest tho
@@lmaoidkname the rest won't take his side it's only remi
This is the thing that keeps me from enjoying this mod
I don’t want to side with dawn guard every single time especially with the new vampire creation
