Lee: awesome video. Nice fish. I know your joy. This fall I was fishing on the same lake and had a catch of a lifetime. The Northern was shorter than yours, only 34”, but fat. I think it was 8 to 10 pounds, but I caught it on a 4’ super ultra light rod, 4# test line and no heavy leader. It bit, pulled drag for a long time away from the boat. It than reversed direction back to the boat, jumped completely out of the water by a foot and took off again. I eventually landed the beast and enjoyed the fact that my circle hook was in just the right place so it couldn’t bite off my line. I doubt if I will ever have that much fun again, but I’ll keep on trying. Thanks again! No wonder fishing is addictive.
Pike fishing is a Blast! Fun learning different techniques to catch them as well, Love the video, My PB has been sitting on 46.5" for years, couldn't top it
Man, I wish I was her! I've caught many pike in the lower 30's but none in the upper 30's. Also, I've been watching your guys' videos for a long time and you guys seem to always find big fish! Love the content!
hello todays angler. love your content. question, i see you record your videos with a gopro camera, how do you get good audio quality with little wind noise. next open water season for me I want to start recording me fishing with my gopro. Thank you
My wife caught a 44 inch pike here in Michigan while bass fishing she only had 8 pound test line and a small rap on she didn’t even know what she had caught. I told her that she just caught the biggest pike I ever seen so I had it mounted for her.
In fall, throwing musky baits and dragging suckers. How are you defining "pike fishing" vs musky fishing. Was that a pike lake with no musky. Or was it that you were using smaller baits. Or were you fishing different areas, depths , structure???
Love the vids you guys inspired me to start musky fishing I haven’t caught my first one but got a lake with a 50 plus I’m tryn to get she fallowed to the boat this summer and I can’t wait to hook up with her
Who’s Barb,,, goes to show you nead a woman in the boat to get. Whopper and make other fishermen wishing they were in the boat. Thanks for the great video,,,,Don
Finesse outfit?? 30lb Braid is not a finesse outfit. I fish pike with 8lb fluorocarbon, no leader off 10lb braid. Northern Michigan, St Mary’s River and have landed over 25 fish better than 36” including 4 over 40”. You’re not fooling me when you say finesse.
A true fisherman adapts to what is happening with the bite on a daily basis so it doesn’t matter what you use to catch any species of fish. It is about putting fish in the bag with any technique. Every time you go out it is a science experiment to see what the fish are biting on. It is ridiculous that someone would even make this comment to someone like Lee who has been putting GIANTS in the bag for two decades, maybe longer... Where is the respect??? GREAT VIDEO!!! AS ALWAYS!!! MUCH RESPECT AND APPRECIATION for your time and efforts to make this video and any video you and Robbie have ever made.

Nice going Lee, quality fish from the TA Wisco South team!
Ha, thank Derek.
Great fish!
The ladies always seem to catch the big ones in these videos.
Awesome explanation! Cool video. Thx
Thank you
When are you going to start the ice fishing videos 🧐
Still fishing open water, best chance for a whale!
Way to go barb ! Curious, are all those other boats fishing for pike ?
No, walleyes
Good stuff! Who's Barb?
i think we all have an idea who Barb is :P
Barb = why Lee misappeared from the show 🤣
Definitely not why. I filmed about 30 days the second half of the season and only had about 8 vids to account for it. Lots of tough days.
@@TodaysAngler I was being a smart @$$ trying to be funny! This was a great video!
@@michaellavazza960 I know, just setting the record straight 😁

We use a mini wind screen on them available from Amazon. It's about 1" across and fuzzy.

Just curious....were you targeting the deep weed edges when you were fishing?
Yes
why is it that you always have one angler ?
Not sure what you mean? There are two of us in the boat?
@@TodaysAngler yes you and the cameraman , but a guest
@@cristtrevino7190 we don't have a camera man. Just us

Real fisherman fish with lures, only poor fisherman have to use dead bait to catch fish.
We threw 2 lures all day and caught 1 big bass and one dink pike. We were using livebait btw.
Poor fisherman 😂 . Good stuff Lee
Don't mind him, he's high from sniffing his own farts.
