- The US State Department announced on Monday that it found five Israeli army units guilty of "gross human rights violations." Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said these violations occurred against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank prior to the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on 7 October.

I have often thought about buying a small island somewhere in the pacific. Set up a phony government and declair war on the US then turn around in the same declaration and sue for peace and wait for my millions in US aid. Yes that is a good question. Wonder what it is. Sad part is, the immoral idf has committed thousands of atrocities yet hidden to the world that only ppl like myself who know and are in contact with actual Palestinians on the ground know of. Not of now. Not since Oct 7 but several decades spanning generations and atrocities told and lived😢. I used to wonder with my friend when she told some of the things her and her extended family and relatives and neighbours etc had gone through and the pain i saw in her eyes😢. It’s not describable. It’s just heart wrenching. It hurt bcuz of their helplessness. I’m glad the world is seeing it now. I pray their hearts find peace. Get justice. No people should suffer like this.

Let's just dig up some history and find some units who violated human rights and use them as talking points to divert attention. Make it seem like this is how the law works. Ignore the current violations until after they are done with the Jenn O side. Then do the same thing which is to find them guilty and then do nothing and allow them to do remediation whatever that entails. At the end of the day, they told the reporters something to waste time and get them off their backs. But nothing was actually done.

Part of the reason the Leahy Law isn't working as intended, to stop the use of US weapons in war crimes, is because it is not applied evenly and is so trap ridden with delay mechanisms in the case of Israel , you don't even know where the weapons go. Which is why there is an overwhelming sense of impunity on behalf of the Israeli government. This is all very well documented by people who worked in the State dept. You signed a document in 2021 formalizing changes to the Leahy Law with Israel endorsing the Israeli governments military justice systems which you have not done for any other Leahy Law agreements elsewhere ever in history. So why even mention it, if it is nothing but words on paper with zero meaningful impact in the world around us except for legal gymnastics to avoid it's even application?
The responsibility of the crimes of those units also sits with the PM and President of Israel as they have backed extremist culture in the IOF.
