I don't see why he can't have both. Before anyone gets on me, I saw the scene where he finds out that polygamy is illegal, but he doesn't have to technically get married. He can just take them both for his girlfriends and they can just call each other husband and wives. I mean, in the last episode of the tv anime, they were both ready to do him.
